SADOC Re-Introduces Parole
- The San Andreas Department of Corrections (SADOC) is pleased to announce the reintroduction of the Parole Program to the State of San Andreas. Last Summer the Los Santos County Sheriff’s Department (LSSD) made the decision to end its operation of Detention and Parole Bureau, at which point the SADOC was given the go ahead to start working on transitioning the over to its purview. For the last year the SADOC has been working diligently to ensure a smooth rollout of the new Parole program and to tailor this program to the needs of our State today.
The Parole and Surveillance division, will fall under the newly established Public Services branch of the SADOC, and represents our dedication toward rehabilitation throughout the State. After a thorough review, eligible Parolees will be released from Prison before their sentence expires with close monitoring from the Surveillance wing of the division, on a set period of Parole. During this time Parolees will be required to actively work towards reforming themselves, through multiple meetings with Parole Officers we’ll work to get them careers as well find ways for them to be involved with the community in a positive light. During this time Parolees will be prohibited from engaging in illegal activity, associating with those who do, or anything else that could compromise their reform.

Should a Parolee violate the terms of their release a warrant will be issued for their arrest and they will have to serve not only their original sentence, but additional time for GM23 - Parole Violation. Between meetings, Surveillance Officers will use a variety of techniques and resources to ensure that Parolees are keeping up with the terms of their parole and do not pose any sort of risk to the public.
This program will co-exist alongside the current Felon Reformation Program which provides individuals who have already served their time the resources they need to reform, including accountability, counseling, and housing services as well as unlocks new employment opportunities through our program partners. We believe that by maintaining both of these programs simultaneously we'll be able to reach a wider population of individuals to reform, with options that fit their needs.
The program will officially go live at 20:30 (8:30 PM) (( UTC )), July 12th 2024. At that point anyone currently in the custody of the SADOC who meets the requirements for Parole, may meet with a Parole Officer to check their eligibility and start the release process. Eligibility requirements for the Parole Program can be found below, and those interested in joining our Felon Reformation Program can visit this link for more information.
We're incredibly excited for the new opportunities that this program will unlock as part of our ongoing commitment to providing safe and efficient routes for Rehabilitation and Reformation. As always Press Inquiries may be directed through our Information Request Section.Parole Eligibility Requirments

Grace PeriodIndividuals who have not been charged with any ineligible criminal charges for the past 6 months may seek and enter the Parole Program under the discretion of the handling Parole officer. The goal of the system is rehabilitation and reintegration into society, if an individual has remained clean from ineligible charges for the past 6 months and for whatever reason manages to find themselves incarcerated for e.g. Felony Evading, the Parole Officer may meet with them and decide on whether or not to accept them into the Parole Program.
This Grace Period system follows suit with the Level Three wait period guide for firearms licenses adopted by the Los Santos Police Department's Firearms Licensing Division.Repeat Offenders and Parole Officer DiscretionParole Officers may at their discretion decide on whether to accept an individual into the Parole Program or not based on their repeated offenses. The Parole Program is meant to rehabilitate and reintegrate, and an individual who has for the past 30 days been repeatedly arrested for criminal charges that doesn't make them ineligible by default, but shows a pattern of repeat, may be denied entry into the Parole Program.
