2. REQUEST INFORMATION
  • Detailed information of your request:
    • Hey I was just wondering if there is an age limit when it comes to employment at the LSPD, I noticed an age requirement of 21 but no upper age limit.
If someone at the age of 79 for example was physically fit and fit the requirements, would you treat them like any other applicant?

Los Santos Police Department
"TO PROTECT AND TO SERVE"

  • Re: Public Inquiry [Citizen]

    Thank you for this inquiry.

Pursuant to the general stance regarding age discrimination in workplaces across the United States, the Los Santos Police Department does not have a maximum age or an age at which point employees are forced into retirement, though typically the service retirement plans/police pension become available after 20 years of service and surpassing the age of 50, which in this specific provided example may be difficult, but not impossible.

We welcome anyone who meets the minimum requirements and basic prerequisites to apply through standard recruitment. That said, entry and hiring to the department is at the discretion of recruitment officers, and being permitted to apply as any other prospective candidate would is not indicative of a guarantee to pass the screening and further examinations.

  • Respectfully,
