2. REQUEST INFORMATION
  • Detailed information of your request:
    • I am currently in the process of writing an article regarding knife crime in Los Santos, and its seemingly recent uprising in the city. I would appreciate it if the following questions could be answered to support my article:
      • Has the LSPD noticed an increase in knife crimes compared to previous periods?
      • Is there a certain area, e.g. Burgershot, where these crimes are more prominent?
      • Is the LSPD utilising specialised tactics to counteract the efforts or subdue the uprising of knife crime?
      • Does the LSPD have any recommendations to citizens on how to protect themself against knife crime?
      Thank you for your time.

    Thank you for your inquiry.

Given the complexity in tracking knife related crimes due to the absence of a charge tied specifically to knifes, unlike with firearms, it would be an arduous task to even attempt to provide accurate data on the topic. However, I am able to provide you with the number of knifes, including switchblades, seized as part of an arrest and the number of those arrests located around Burger Shot.

    May 2024
9 knifes seized, none of which occurred around Burger Shot.

    April 2024
29 knifes seized, 5 of which occurred around Burger Shot.

    March 2024
30 knifes seized, 4 of which occurred around Burger Shot.

LSPD officers remain vigilant in their efforts to maintain safety throughout the city, effectively addressing knife related crime to ensure public safety. Citizens are advised to stay vigilant, avoid confrontation and report any suspicious activity by calling 911.

  • Sincerely,
