  • One of my core beliefs in life is that it is incredibly important to treat those how you would like to be treated. it is important that everyone has the equal right to justice, no matter where they come from, what their education level is, or any other factors. Being a part of the San Andreas Judicial Branch would allow me to turn this belief into a passion. I have always found myself empathetic towards those on both sides of the law. One of my favorite things in the city to do has been working freelance jobs, meeting new people from all walks of life along the way. I have always been someone willing to go out of my way to open up myself to someone new, even if we may not conduct the same activities outside of our freelance jobs. I would bring this personality to SAJB and help those in need of public defense services not only get the best legal services they could get, but also feel like someone is there to help them. I understand that those that are reaching out to SAJB may be doing so in a less-than ideal time in their lives, and I would find it incredibly fulfilling to be able to help those during their tougher times.
    
    My goal would be to ultimately become a future public defender, or to own my own defense law firm. If I was employed by the San Andreas Judicial Branch, I would use my time while employed to learn more about the criminal defense system, and to grow my legal skills along the way. I am a hard worker, and I believe that a career as a paralegal would be a positive step forwards towards developing a future career in legal defense, while being able to provide quality legal services to those who need it most.

  • Hello! I'm Jimmy Hamilton, a friendly man who enjoys meeting new people, and developing connections all across the city. I grew up on a small mushroom farm in Pennsylvania. Working along side my dad, I grew to understand the importance of a hard day's work. I've always been someone who's wanted to help people, especially when they're down on their luck. I've seen other farmers suffer from various poor yields, and the power that a community can have in rebuilding them up even stronger.
    
    One of my favorite things to do is to debate sports with my friends. Figuring out who the true "Greatest of All Time" to me is something I enjoy talking to others about. I truly enjoy going back and reading about former athletes, and some of their accomplishments, while comparing them to some of today's modern greats. I'm currently using my knowledge about historical automotive racing in the 1950's. While this may not sound like the most traditional path to a paralegal, the process of writing this book has taught me how to find the most important statistic, quote, or historical reference that I can in order to create a compelling story to tell. I believe these skills would transfer over well to a paralegal career in helping create the most compelling defense cases.

  • Honest: There was a time when I was working roadworks, when someone broke into my car and completely trashed it, causing thousands of dollars worth of damage. I was pretty upset by the whole ordeal, and didn't want to call a tow truck. One of the people I had become friends with during my time at roadworks was with me at the time. He said to me, "I don't understand why someone would do this to you, you're one of the most honest guys in this city." That moment stuck with me. I've always wanted to be someone who can be trusted, and a person who wouldn't do wrong to others. Seeing someone else acknowledge my greatest traits in one of my most upsetting times was a great silver lining.
