Los Santos: On November 11th, the Los Santos Police Department hosted its fourth award ceremony. Throughout the ceremony, a significant number of awards were bestowed upon officers of the Department. The Media Relations Division has published a recap of the award ceremony and all awards that were issued during the event.
Toward the conclusion of the ceremony, Chief of Police Elena Blake, accompanied by Assistant Chief Phillipe Sanchez, Chief of Staff for the Los Santos Police Department, announced two significant promotions within the Command Staff of the Department, which saw Commander Elizabeth Sanchez and Deputy Chief Scott Dunbar promoted to the ranks of Deputy Chief and Assistant Chief respectively.
Deputy Chief Elizabeth Sanchez has dedicated the majority of her career with the Department to the General Operations Bureau, which houses all patrol divisions of the Department. Where a majority of officers branch out towards specialized divisions and further their careers there, Deputy Chief Sanchez having gained experience in different specialized divisions such as the Traffic Enforcement Division and the Metropolitan Division, her primary focus remained on standard patrol operations and has furthered her career therein. Through her tenure and dedication to patrol operations, Deputy Chief Sanchez has established herself as an approachable and knowledgeable leadership figure for all, patrol officers and supervisors alike. Deputy Chief Elizabeth Sanchez is assigned as the Commanding Officer, General Operations Bureau. She is responsible for overseeing all standard patrol operations of the Department.
Assistant Chief Scott Dunbar has taken on many different roles and responsibilities within the Los Santos Police Department while he progressed through the ranks and assignments, ranging from managing a patrol division to overseeing the basic police training provided to any prospective officer. While Assistant Chief Dunbar was frequently reassigned when advanced through the Department with ever-changing responsibilities, he always remained dedicated to the Metropolitan Division and the Special Operations Bureau, which eventually saw him assuming the role of Commanding Officer, Special Operations Bureau. Assistant Chief Dunbar transformed the Special Operations Bureau into a beacon of progress and professionalism and became known for his reforms and initiatives. It is these qualities that have established Assistant Chief Dunbar as a strong leader within the Department. Assistant Chief Scott Dunbar is assigned as the Director, Office of Operations. He is responsible for overseeing the General Operations Bureau, Detective Bureau, and Special Operations Bureau.
