My name is Amelia fernandez and I was on April 12, 2000. I was lucky to be born into a family with two wonderful parents that always looked out for my happiness. We lived in the new york, where my childhood was pretty average for the most part, I learned how to read and write, watch cartoons, played with toys, I just had a normal childhood. That was until every changed on the night of November 20, 2010. A group of three individuals attempted to break into our house. During this attempted robbery there would be a struggle involving my dad and one of the invaders that left him shot and killed, this event changed everything. Fresno PD would respond to the 911 call that was made. This is where I met a man I still consider a role model to this day, Officer Ontega. Upon Officer Ontega arrival on the scene, he immediately went to me and my other and comforted us, making sure we were doing as well as we could considering what just happened. Officer Ontega even went above and beyond the normal officer in this scenario. He kept in touch with us for months after, giving us updates on the case, being a role model to myself, and just being the person me and my mother really needed at that time. We still keep in contact to this day.

Officer Ontega continued to inspire me day after day. It was after my father's death and my interactions with Officer Ontega I knew that law enforcement was my life goal. I worked hard throughout high school, graduating with a 4.0 GPA and an academic scholarship to San Jose University. I attended university and majored in Criminal Justice, maintaining a 4.0 GPA while working a part-time modeling job and going to the gym consistently. Once I graduated from college I felt it was finally time to start really focusing on my future career, I moved to Los Santos and got a job as a taxi driver to make some money. I kept seeing advertisements to the Department of corrections and I felt it was finally my time. I want to make an impact on people, specifically the type of impact Officer Ontega made on me, and DOC is the way to do it.

I want to join the San Andreas Department of Corrections because i love to work as a correctional officer.I aspire to climb the ranks within this environment and one day teach the next generation with my knowledge. i have a passion for law and justice and look to show this through my actions in the Department of Corrections
