My name is Marcello Latre, I am 23 years of age, and I was born on October 2, 1999. Growing up I always admired police officers because my father was one. Marcello had a rough childhood growing up; he lived on the streets of Chicago and had to learn how to hustle. My father Sam was someone that I looked up to when I was young but later down the road that all changed. By the age of 15 I found out that the man that I knew wasn't a man, after all he was a corrupt police officer that implanted drugs in poor citizens vehicles around Chicago to get a spot in the drug unit. I found out about this when I was 15 because my father came rushing down the halls of my room explaining to me what had just happened and that his co-worker had found out about it. My father knew I was brave and that I knew how to get by in life, so he laid down the truth on me of what he did. Later on, on the road he was sentenced to 6 years in the county jail for being a corrupt Police Officer; I told him in his face that he deserves what's coming for him. After my father was sentenced to prison, I had to go live with my abusive mother back in Florida until I was the age of 18. On my 18th birthday I applied to the University of Miami and got my bachelor's degree in psychology and my associates in criminal justice by the age of 21. I had the degree but didn't know what I wanted to do in life. I was contemplating whether I should be a psychologist or an officer, so I took a leap of faith and didnt do any of those and applied to SADOC.

How much time and energy do you plan on dedicating towards the department in the event you are hired?
I plan on dedicating 100% of my character time at DOC, roughly 20-40 hours a week.

Why do you want to join the San Andreas Department of Corrections, and why should we hire you over other applicants? (minimum 75 words)
If I am hired to the San Andreas Department of Corrections, I will bring my valuable knowledge to help SADOC in any means necessary whether that's joining a division that I don't like or that I do like. If I am hired, I will make sure that I put blood, sweat, and tears into this department contributing many hours and being on shift during the time I wake up and go to sleep, I feel like I am able to offer more hours in the department than other people and I have knowledge inside the department.

How do you handle pressure or stressful situations?
I handle stressful situations pretty well, I am an overall chill person and acquire knowledge really quickly. During stressful situations I am able to de-escalate the situation at hand by speaking to both parties in the argument and getting them to agree to be peaceful with each other.

What qualifications or traits do you possess that may be an asset to us (Minimum 50 words)?
The most valuable traits that I possess are having amazing Leadership skills, courage, discipline, hard work and of course bravery. These traits are my most valuable because they give someone a look of how I am as a person and how I act. These traits will be very beneficial to the San Andreas Department of Correction because having leadership skills and courage are the main things someone needs to develop before applying or even being a part of any government job.

I used to be a part of SADOC like 6 months ago, I didn't stay for long but I went through the academy and processed a couple of inmates. I still have knowledge of exactly what a SADOC officer does.

Have you ever worked for a government agency? If so, which ones and what was your position?
I used to work for LSC and SADOC, when I was a part of LSC i was a Junior Mechanic and at SADOC a Correctional Trainee.

Do you have any previous experience working as part of a team?
Yes, I have experience working as a team because I used to be apart of LSC and SADOC. While working at LSC, I was able to lead a team of mechanics in repairing vehicles quickly and precisely while having customer satisfaction.

I have not been convicted of a crime.

Reason for leaving: I had to move out of the country.

Yes, I have a couple of admin punishments. I am not proud of them but I did receive them from breaking the rules, I made a couple mistakes in my past but have not made any recently.
