Post by Oj Wood »

Introduction
The San Andreas State Government has identified a problem with the lack of parking for recreational vehicles(RVs) within the city and we have taken your feedback into consideration. We are happy to inform you that we will be opening a public space for you to park your recreational vehicles long term. I hope that this will be a useful additional to our city and allow you to feel a sense of security when parking. There has been an increase of RV's being parked at numerous locations around the city, one of the issues was due to the pricing of parking them at Public Parking. Hopefully this new addition to the city will benefit numerous citizens with parking issues.
Where will it be located?
The RV parking will be found down near the Los Santos Airport, there is a suitable carpark on the outskirts which has easy access to highways and main roads. I have attached a few pictures of the parking location and provided a GPS location. If you require any further information at this time, Please contact OJ Wood via email.

How do I get access to the RV Park?
To apply for the RV Parking License is very similar to applying for a citizen' license but with a slight difference. First navigate to the licensing desk where you will find a topic entitled, [Information] SASG Licensing Process. You can read through this to get a better understanding of the process in general but at the very bottom of this post, you will see a format for Citizen License Applications.

Simply copy this format and take note of the proper naming convention. Make a new topic inside the Licensing - Citizen Licenses section and paste the copied format, filling in all the information. After you submit the application, a member of the Business Licensing Bureau will review it and provide you with further instructions.
Security
The RV parking lot will be securely fitted with CCTV cameras which will cover all angles of the carpark. Secure fencing will be placed around the perimeter and a security gates, which will require a code to be able to access the parking lot. This access code will be changed at the beginning of every month. Law Enforcement officers within the city will have access to this car park and will be on the look out for anything suspicious . The SASG understands that a lot of people are concerned about security and even though we are taking precautions we cannot be held liable for any loss of belongings.
Questions and Answers
  1. Would we have to pay for this service?
Yes, access to the RV Park will be made available through a citizens license offered by the Business Licensing Bureau and will have a recurring monthly fee of $5000. Information on applying for Citizens License can be found here.
  2. Can you ensure our RV's will be parked safely without issues?
While it is impossible to ensure complete protection from bad actors, SASG has taken significant steps to protect the RV Park with measures such as controlled access to the lot via code locked gates and surveillance cameras, as well as working in collaboration with our Law Enforcement partners to patrol the lot and intervene in criminal activity. It's important that citizens utilizing the RV Park also take common sense steps to protect their property such as locking RVs, ensuring they are turned off, and any valuables are removed from the vehicles when possible.
  3. Why has the SASG created an RV parking area after such a long time?
Major cities have always struggled to handle the large amounts of vehicles and limited parking and Los Santos is no exception to this. With increases in the amounts of RVs being parked for extended periods of time in front of government buildings as well as businesses, the availability of parking space for commuter vehicles has been significantly reduced. The RV Park is designed to be a place where these vehicles can be stored long term when not in use, therefore freeing up space at these critical areas and boosting accessibility for San Andreas Citizens.
  4. How would we receive the code to access the carpark?
The Business Licensing Bureau will be managing access to the RV Park and they would distribute codes to citizens who are licensed to park there. Codes will change monthly and be given to active licensees upon paying the monthly fee.
  5. Can we park vehicles that are not recreational vehicles?
While intended for large RVs, other non-RVs will be permitted to park in the lot as well as long as their owner has received the license for RVs.
  6. Are there consequences to parking here illegally?
Yes. Vehicles that are not licensed to park in the RV Park will be towed and impounded.
Closing Statement
The San Andreas State Government is excited to announce this new addition to our city. We recognize the burden that finding parking at government services and businesses alike has on the citizens of our great state. It is our hope that the introduction of this RV Park will increase accessibility and patronage to these essential services, boosting our economy as well as community relations. We look forward to seeing all the unique RVs and can't wait to see all the ways that this additional parking space will help our state thrive. Licenses for the RV Park open June 1st and are renewed on a monthly basis for $5000. Details on how to apply can be found on the Business Licensing Bureaus section of the website.
