The Advanced Medicine Unit
The Advanced Medicine Unit is a core division of the Medical Department. With many different scenarios and treatments happening each day, all the members of AMU are very busy. Ranging from surgeries to X-Rays, they provide the best of best practice that you can find anywhere in the city. Surgeries require the steady hand of a surgeon that can bring you back from the brink of death. X-Rays are super important for the doctors to see what they cannot via the naked eye... broken bone? Fear not, we will find it! AMU also understands that some cases may be more serious and severe than others, in this case they work closely with loved ones to ensure the health of the patient and all that surround them. AMU also work closely with the CRU Division in regards to severe patients that may suffer more than just the physical injury.
AMU Portfolio
Lead Paramedic Joshua Crane ensures that this department runs smoothly and integrates many new ideas that keep AMU on the move and modern. It can be a busy division therefore needs a strong head and a reliable hardworking team. Surgeries are no picnic and the team currently could not be better!
A
A What do we do when a patient on the sidewalk needs AMU help? First of all the patient is brought back to Pillbox MD and made comfortable in one of our wards. Typically the Intense Care Unit.... from there someone from AMU will look over the patient to see what injuries have been inflicted and what the next steps are. If surgery is needed, preparation will then be under way and the surgery will get the go ahead once all is ready. Poster below for how to have the best recovery.
Radiography
- X-ray Radiography detects bone fractures, certain tumours and other abnormal masses, pneumonia, some types of injuries, calcifications, foreign objects, dental problems, etc.
