WEAPON AND NARCOTICS SEIZURE
-- -
On the 28th of February, following an inter-departmental call involving members of the San Andreas State Government, it was reported that a masked individual brandished a pump shotgun at government representatives and bystanders at Legion Square in an attempt to coerce them before fleeing the area. A large response ensued and an investigation was initiated shortly after where questioning and evidence collection would take place. An undisclosed amount of witnesses assisted with the case and confirmed the individual had stored the heavy weapon in a vehicle and parked it nearby.
-
- Not soon after the investigation took place the individual would return with another firearm which he would use to take a government representative hostage - demanding that he be given a vehicle to evade in, leaving the hostage behind. Following negotiations, necessary arrangements were made to meet the demands of the hostage taker, resulting in the release of the government representative taken hostage while the hostage taker was pursued in a provided vehicle.
A pursuit took place which would end in the industrial area of Cypress Flats with the suspect opening fire at police units after dismounting his vehicle to evade on foot - fire was returned in kind and the suspect was incapacitated after which additional emergency response followed involving the Los Santos Emergency Medical Services to resuscitate the injured individual. The suspect was successfully stabilized and provided life-saving aid.
-
- An on-site investigation took place at Cypress Flats and Legion Square while the suspect was transported to Mission Row for investigation. Members of the Metropolitan Division and Detective Bureau in tandem seized a large number of weapons and narcotics totaling close to $350,000.00 in street value. Nobody was injured throughout the situation with the suspect sustaining non-life-threatening injuries before being taken to the Department of Corrections for processing.
