2. REQUEST INFORMATION
  • Detailed information of your request:
    • Dear Sir/Madam,

I am requesting comment/information surrounding the kidnapping and subsequent death of the Government official that occurred on the 2nd of January and continued until the 6th of January.
      1. There have been reports of failures in communication from the LSPD, which include allegations that the LSSD were not brought into the situation until several days had passed and that the LSPD would stonewall requests for updates from the Government. How does the LSPD respond to these reports?
      2. Does the LSPD believe that possible failures in communication could have hurt the hunt to find the government official?
      3. Did the LSPD make any independent attempt to reach out to the kidnappers to establish a direct line of negotiations?
      4. What measures were taken during the manhunt for the government official to attempt to find them, and does the LSPD believe these were sufficient?
      5. Can the LSPD comment on if there will be any review of the manhunt and its failure to find the government official, so that there may be continued refinement of LSPD procedure?
I appreciate your time and await your response and understand that this is still an ongoing investigation but believe the questions surrounding procedures and processes can still be commented on.

Los Santos Police Department

Media Relations Division
"TO PROTECT AND SERVE"

  • @Herrman_Wolff

On the 2nd of January, the Los Santos Police Department was informed by the San Andreas State Government that one of their Directors was missing. This is an ongoing investigation, and response will be limited as such.

In regards to any alleged failure in communication between the Los Santos Police Department and Los Santos Sheriff's Department or any other agency or Government officials, for that matter, we find no such foundation in these claims. In all State matters, the Departments work together to investigate, respond and communicate all relevant and pertinent information, sharing resources and doing our hardest to solve any issues regarding such. In this instance, all agencies stayed in communication through secure channels so that facts and details were relayed and all investigative options were and are being jointly investigated and cooperatively solved.

In this case, all possible avenues of approach have been and are being explored jointly throughout the State, and no single investigative enforcement agency takes priority over another. However, they are working in tandem to bring the persons involved to justice and use all possible avenues to locate the official in question. Attempts at negotiations and details therein will not be disclosed as this is still an ongoing investigation. Still, you can rest assured that every law enforcement agency is doing its best and has been since the beginning of this event. Once the case is concluded, it will be reviewed, and any measures that could be improved upon will be reviewed and implemented if there are such, as is done with any and all investigations. Any allegations or rumors suggesting differences between what is stated herein or against LSPD policy and procedure as listed are unfounded and lack any credibility.

    Thank you for your inquiry.
