  • As the Weazel News Weather Report has alerted us about the last couple of days, winter is here! Even though the winter is a time for lights, celebration, and nice food, there are also dangers coming lurking around the corner. It is important that you know how to properly prepare for the incoming season.

At the end of Great Ocean Highway, in Paleto Bay lays a local mechanic shop called Bayview Auto Center. To better help all citizens of Los Santos prepare for the winter, they are allowing customers to use the promo code "XMASCOUNTY50" to receive 50% off all modifications and winter tires for the next seven (7) days after the release of this notice.

There are necessary preparations you may take to prepare yourself and the individuals around you for a safer season.
    • Make sure that smoke detectors in your home and businesses are working and change the battery if you don't remember the last time you did.
    • Check your tires’ tread or, if necessary, replace tires with all-weather or snow tires.
    • Keep the gas tank full to avoid ice in the tank and fuel lines.
    • Ensure to keep an emergency kit in the trunk of your vehicle and home containing warm clothes, blankets, batteries, chargers, flashlights, food, water, and a fully loaded first aid kit.
    • When traveling, always alert someone where you are going and how long you are expected to stay out for.
Winter weather is no joke and not dressing according to the weather can in the worst case be fatal. Invest in a wind-resistant coat or jacket and inner layers of light, warm clothing, hats, scarves, and waterproof boots. if you see anyone that struggles to stay warm or can not afford to clothe, please assist them to the best of your abilities.

The Los Santons Sheriff's Department wants to wish everyone a safe winter season and not to be afraid to call 911 or come to Paleto Station in case of emergency or in need of help. In our tradition of service, we do not leave anyone behind.

    Stay warm!
