Traits & Motivations
Please provide a short biography about yourself (minimum 100 words):
I was born in London on the 29/04/1997. From a young age my parents loved and cared for me the best they could, but as I got older I had to move by my self and make my own decisions as everyone does, I had to really on other people more and when this started to happen I realised that I did not have many people to really on. I did not have anyone who would be able to help me with tuff times as you grow older you can't always talk to your parents and for people who have no-one it can be very hard in life. So I decided to volunteer at a soup kitchen for a winter in 2010 and i learnt so much about other people and how much of an impact just taking a day out of your life can help other people so much when it does not seem much to you. So because of this I decided to peruse a career in being a Cab driver as it's just a little thing and you can help someone out so much with their day and change there mood by being a positive nice person. I did this for a few years until I decided I wanted to move to the US to have a change of scenery and peruse a career in policing as the American police appealed more to me as the officers seem safer than in the UK. I want to make a big impact to peoples life's and I feel that being in SADDOC will enable me to aid people in there daily life especially ones that are in a very bad spot.
If hired by SADDOC I will be putting all my energy into the Job but still wanting to maintain my taxi driver Job for the time being.
I believe that I am a great critical thinker and that it would be very useful while working with inmates in DOC. I believe that my experience working as Black Cab driver in London has given me a upper hand on situations as I am able to read peoples behaviour and possibly notice if they are going to be violet or hurt me and another employee. I also believe that my desire to help people will aid me in becoming a great DOC guard and helping people in a time of need. I overall believe that I am a joyful and out going person that can impact other people in a positive light and make everyone's day a little bit better. But most of all I am fit for work, enthusiastic about working in SADDOC, and positive person wanting to make other peoples day a little bit better whenever I can.
I handle pressure very well. I have experience working as a taxi driver in rush hour with passengers shouting and getting irritated. I've learnt to handle pressure by taking my time, reading the situation and developing a solution piece by piece.
I believe that I have traits that will allow me to become a valuable asset of SADDOC. I am great at reading situations and I believe in an environment that a prison will keep me and my fellow colleges safe. I have a very good temper due to my years in public service, I know how to hold my tongue in situations in order to escalate into something dangerous. I am very empathic over people and this would be very useful as I would be able to understand inmates situations as well as I can and try offer and help I can, while still ensuring I am following SADDOC guidelines.
