Dear Robert Winejudge,

Your ride-along request with the Los Santos Emergency Medical Services has been ACCEPTED. Please keep this ride-along request readily available throughout any of your ride-along sessions. We hope that you will get to see first-hand how our Department and its Employees operate Day-to-Day.

This ride-along request is valid for 7 days, after the 7 days have passed your ride-along request will expire. If you are still interested in our ride-along program after your request has expired, you must submit a new one, but no sooner than 7 days after the previous one was accepted.

What should I do now?
  • You are expected to follow common courtesy and show respect to the medic in charge of your ride-along session, so, we request you to dress properly and keep an eye on your personal hygiene.
  • If you are in possession of any weapons, make sure not to bring them to a ride-along session. The medic in charge will be frisking you before starting a ride-along session and will confiscate any weapons into their possession until the end of the session.
  • When you are ready for a ride-along session, visit the Central Los Santos Medical Center at Strawberry Avenue and ask if any EMT-I or above is available to conduct a ride-along session. There is no limit to the number of sessions you may do, so long as your request is active.
  • If no employees are available to conduct a ride-along session, try again another time or schedule a ride-along session beforehand. Your sessions may be conducted by a different medic each time.
Sincerely,
Alex Mathers

Time Started: 12:00 PM
Time Ended: 01:40 PM
Notes (optional but preferred): Started the ride-along with Mr. Winejudge after he reached out to me at Pillbox, it was a quiet shift but we soon got a call, three units responded and I allowed Mr. Winejudge to step out of the Scout and observe, since he is an applicant and the scene was secured.
After that, a long period with no calls followed, but we used that to interact with the team, I presented Robert to the whole team, we chatted for a while with everyone and got him to be more comfortable around everyone. We explained how the recruitment works, how our divisions and offices are set up and just a general presentation of the department, Robert loved it!

Towards the end, we had a code 1 drill, initiated by Senior Paramedic Jansen, on an actual call. My unit was first on scene, PD was there as well, I took the patient over from PD and checked his state, he had a fractured leg, other units arrived and I handed the patient over to EMT Wood, who did a phenomenal job in treating the patient and communicating with him.

After the code 1 drill, we had a 10-1 at Pillbox, initiated by Senior Paramedic Jansen, debriefing the code 1 drill.

Time Started: 2:50 PM

Notes (optional but preferred):

I took Robert from Mathers onto a civilian ride along and went down to the beach in my Lifeguard unit and Lifeguard granger to test out some speed limits on the beach which I even got his opinions on, that was helpful haha. Anyways we soon roamed back to Pillbox and took out a Fire Truck and responded to a fire call along with Julia who tagged along with us, once arriving on scene Julia and Giovanni put out the fire really quickly before we all returned back to Pillbox once again and got back into our Charlie units. We then had a North call come in which myself and Robert responded to using the Medevac to reach Paleto much more quickly, we then swapped to the scout and arrived on scene but there was no patient, we then roamed back to Paleto MD and swapped into a rescue unit, driving the kamacho and having a little roam around the woods for any patients and so on, he seemed to be interested in that division which was good to hear, after that we soon flew back to Pillbox, responding to a call as a 10-70 as C-1Z before returning and ending the civilian ride along.
