Charging Department: Los Santos Police Department
Time & Date of Incident(s): Approximately 11pm UTC 5/30/22
Charge(s): Murder of a government employee
Narrative:
My husband was stopped by an officer and I was told to identify myself. Upon giving the officer my license, I was commanded to step out of the vehicle, detained, and read my rights. Then I was brought into questioning where I asked for a lawyer. There they presented evidence against me that was insufficient to place charges on me. The evidence they presented was a recent picture of me during an arrest that the detectives used to show what tattoos I currently have. They then showed me a very upsetting video of someone coming up behind an officer and slitting his throat. The detectives believe that the whispered voice in the video was mine and that since the arms that show up briefly in the video have similar tattoos to mine, this is sufficient evidence to indict me on the murder charges. Charges cannot be placed on the basis of tattoos and voice as many in Los Santos have similar tattoos (probably a quarter of LSPD have the same rose tattoo as I do) and whispered voices are hard to identify from the small low quality bodycams.
For this reason, I believe that the police officers not only did not have enough proof or evidence to arrest me, but none to actually charge me with such a serious crime as the murder of a government official. In the same questioning, the LSSD department decided to not pursue any charges as they mentioned themselves that there was ‘’not enough evidence’’. At this point, I was not only extremely confused but also wondering whether I was having a panic attack given the amount of time that I was given in DOC. From the officers being unable to give me a clear answer proving the person in the tape was me to an officer stating that there are no questions that the person who was in that tape masked and murdering that person was also me, I believe that the LSPD had no reason to place these charges and request to be removed and compensated for this mistake as such.
I, [Arya Morningstar], hereby affirm that all information provided above is true and correct to the best of my knowledge, and understand that knowingly providing false information could result in additional charges and/or fines.
