"TO PROTECT AND SERVE" |
- Hello Ms. Caldwell,
After a thorough review conducted by the Media Relations Division, unfortunately I do not believe we have enough information to justify a Press Conference on this subject. I will however make a statement on behalf of the Department:
The Department of Corrections notified the Los Santos Police Department about a possible stolen submarine from an event they were holding. Upon further communication, Corrections Officials notified the Department that all but one submarine was unaccounted for during their affair. Reports from callers spotting submarines off the coast also came into the Department. We believe individuals were surprised to see this equipment off the shores of Los Santos.
Upon further investigation and in collaboration with the Los Santos Sheriff's Department, we notified our Metropolitan Division to assist in searching off the city's coast. Our officers deployed dinghies and patrol boats to search for the alleged submarine. However, while there are a couple of confirmed sightings, we did not have the capabilities to track this equipment as we do not have access to these types of submersible crafts. As it stands now, no further calls or information has been received today regarding this craft by our Department.
Once we were notified of the situation and verified the legitimacy of the claims, we advised the San Andreas Government, who took the case from there. As this was an event sponsored by the Department of Corrections, I believe they would be the best point of contact and would be able to provide you with all the necessary information. Our response was solely reactive in nature; however, if there is further information that we can share, we will let you know.
There are no further details we could provide about this event. I hope what we did release is helpful and believe that you will be able to get more reliable information from your contacts at the Department of Corrections and City Hall. If you have any other questions or need any clarification or answers, please let me know, and I will do my best to get this to you. Stay safe and be well.
- Warmest Regards
