  • Ladies, Gentlemen and those who don't identify as either! The Los Santos County Sheriff's Department has an exciting new announcement for the animal lover within you!

We're making expansions to our roster to include not only man and woman, but also their best friend.
    We're forming a K-9 Unit!

The new unit will be spearheaded by Captain Noah Carlile with assistance from Lieutenant Victoria McJohnson, both of whom have a combined vision for a better county and a penchant for our fluffy friends.

Our fur-friends will have the important task of using their noses to find scents that our human deputies might not be able to pick up on, Namely odorless narcotics such as Cocaine, Methamphetamine, and LSD, and perhaps even materials that could be used in the production of explosives. A Dogs nose knows no bounds when it comes to picking up on illicit materials!

For those of you who suddenly find the desire to join the Sheriff's Department to be able to not only live with, and have a fur-baby as a partner of your own, It's entirely possible! Deputies will be eligible to join the K-9 Unit once they hold the rank of Deputy Sheriff III and show a good work ethic and the best part about it is that your service animal is yours for the duration of your employment within the Sheriffs Department K-9 unit!

Sign up fast though! The K-9 Unit will be limited in terms of how many Deputies are allowed in. This is not only better for the quality of work that we expect these fearless canines to perform, but it also allows a closer bond between members of the unit so that they may work more cohesively together as K-9 and Handler!

For those of you sweating bullets with this new announcement, you may think our bark is worse than our bite, but just wait until you're faced with a K-9 unit sweeping your vehicle for all of those flowers you've been picking for your sick grandmother...
