I come from a family with a common name of “Haze”. We’re a friendly bunch who have recently moved separate ways from each other. My family chose a life of crime whilst I’ve chosen a life where I stay on the beaten path of the legal side. This has led me to being alone in the city, I’ve tried to find my feet but have not been able to quite accomplish this yet due to struggling to establish relations with others as well as not being able to find myself a job within this city that I am proud to be apart of and that I’m willing to devote my time to. Before coming to the city, I used to work as a heavy machine operator at rock yards and quarry’s where I moved heavy mud and rocks. I decided to move to this city for a fresh start for my home town began to be a war zone. There were constant street fights, drug abuse and general violence on every corner, of which I don’t want to be associated to. Since moving to this city, I have only worked freelance jobs where I’ve not been able to tap into my full potential. I’m an outgoing person who respects everyone around them. Since my time in this city, which has been short lived, I have seen so much crime and I’m wanting to stay away from this, as this isn’t something I aspire to follow.

How much time and energy do you plan on dedicating towards the department in the event you are hired?
I am willing to dedicate all of my available time to the department. As stated previously, I haven’t found my feet in the city so with having lots of spare time, I’m looking forward to putting all my effort and energy into the department.

Why do you want to join the San Andreas Department of Corrections, and why should we hire you over other applicants? (minimum 125 words)
Since my time in the city, as sparce as it may be, it has been brought to my attention by many people that DOC is a great place to work. I have heard nothing but great recommendations and about how supportive the workplace is. I believe with a supportive workplace, once I understand my duties, I will be able to bring new ideas, inspirations and supportive measures to DOC to help improve the overall standard of practice and towards inmates and in divisions. The reason you should hire me, from my point of view, is that I’m a hard working individual that strives to give their best in everything they do. I may struggle from time to time, but I’m not afraid to ask for help and I’m willing to give everything my best shot!

How do you handle pressure or stressful situations?
During stressful situations, I remain calm and collective, providing support to my colleagues or others in question. Remaining calm also allows me to provide an accurate dynamic risk assessment to ensure that the best strategies are in place for the situation at hand. I also believe that I handle pressure well. Pressure supports me to strive to do my job to a high standard.

What qualifications or traits do you possess that may be an asset to us (Minimum 75 words)?
I do not have any qualifications; however, I do have many traits that I would be happy to show DOC. I’m a confident individual who strives to do their best. I have a great sense of humour and I aspire to lift everyone’s spirits especially during hard times. I enjoy spending time with people, getting to know their story and I believe this would be great with inmates, making them feel person centred and as if someone cares, possibly supporting them to reform and reconsider their life decisions.

I do not have any previous experience.

From my home city, where I worked as a heavy machine operator, I had to work as part of a team due to the high risk of death or bodily harm. This pushed my communication skills to ensure everyone was safe.
