- 3.1) Why are you seeking employment with the San Andreas Judicial Branch? (200 word minimum)
- I’m applying for this particular position with the San Andreas Judicial Branch because I truly believe in the impact of second chances. Having gone through the Felon Reformation Program myself, I’ve seen how a system that focuses on rehabilitation and support can completely change a person’s life. The Judicial Branch plays a key role in that process, and I want to be part of it, especially in helping people who are going through what I once experienced.
When I said that it plays a key role, I meant it. I firmly believe that the upcoming months, and years will bring forth a lot of changes that will give Defense Attorneys a solid chance to help out the community. Both the Defense, and Prosecution are aware of the flaws in our government. We have all witnessed it, and we have all felt the injustice at one point or another. I strongly believe that public defense will have a MAJOR role to play in the near future, and that everyone will be impacted by it.
Whilst I was in the Reformation Program, I've learned the importance of fairness, structure, and guidance when it comes to reintegrating into society. It made me passionate about helping others avoid the same mistakes I made and about showing them how crucial personal accountability and growth are. By working in the Judicial Branch, I hope to bring my own experiences into the role, offering real support to people trying to turn their lives around. I believe strongly in a system that values justice and rehabilitation over pure punishment, and I want to make sure others have the same opportunity for change that I was lucky enough to receive. This may be somewhat of a rude statement, but presently I believe that public defense is being highly overlooked by Law Enforcement. Most Law Enforcement employees pay little to no mind to the future consequences that follow after charging someone, and often even slight mistakes can lead to bureaucratic nightmares.
- My name is Leon Deveroux, and I’ve learned a lot from the ups and downs in my life. I’ll be upfront and honest with this information. Mainly, during my criminal past, I've been known to manipulate people to get what I needed at the time. I’m not proud of it, but I won’t shy away from the fact that I was good at it, and I mean really good at it. I’ve come to realize that the same skills I used in the wrong ways can actually be used for something positive, and even more than that, something that can change the course of someone's life for the better. Just by being able to absorb a vast amount of information, there are always technicalities that can be applied to shift the case into a different direction. I have always studied psychology, but even more than that.. I was born with a gift. A gift to read subtle cues that people make through body language, tone, and facial expressions. The Felon Reformation Program, has made realize my true potential of being able to come to terms with myself and accept the good, and the bad. I’ve seen how understanding human behavior, influencing decisions, and guiding people’s actions can be powerful tools when channeled toward helping others instead of hurting them.
Now, I want to put that understanding to good use by working as a Defense Attorney. I believe that with my ability to connect with people will go a long way towards a positive outcome for most individuals. I can help those trying to turn their lives around. It’s not about manipulation in the negative sense anymore, as I believe that it’s about guiding others toward better choices, just like I had to learn myself. I’m committed to using what I’ve learned, both good and bad, to make a difference.
- Insightful.
I describe myself as insightful because I have a deep understanding of human behavior and motivations. I'm fully aware that I've touched base on this topic in the previous questions, but you would truly have to invite me to an interview to fully asses what I've been speaking about this whole time.
Being insightful means I don’t just see what’s on the surface but can navigate and influence the deeper aspects of human interactions, with this type of ability I will be able to seek out and identify many more angles to cases that I will be handling, certainly far more angles than most other people.
- I've actually heard about it from Mr. Izaak Scott, who is currently handling a case where I was wrongfully convicted. To some degree I find Mr. Scott to be a mentor, and he is actively everything that I strive to be.

- I do not.
- Yes.
- I've been on the server for quite a while, with a pretty good understanding of both the criminal and law enforcement aspects. Obviously as I'm in SD, I'm more prone towards having to brush up on the Penal Code frequently, and I do believe that JB will be very important in the near future, of which I'd love be a part of!
