San Andreas State Government Announces New Employment Opportunities for Ex-Felons
  • The San Andreas State Government is proud to announce the launch of its Ex-Felon Employment Program, a groundbreaking initiative designed to provide Ex-Felons the opportuity to join the San Andreas State Government. This program aims to foster second chances for those who have turned their lives around, offering valuable employment opportunities in various government bureaus.

    The Ex-Felon Employment Program is open to individuals who meet specific eligibility criteria designed to ensure that applicants have committed to a law-abiding life for an extended period. The application process will assess candidates based on the following requirements:
    • No affiliation with any criminal groups for at least 12 months.
    • No previous serious felony convictions.
    • Free from any felony convictions for at least 12 months prior to applying.
    • No serious misdemeanor convictions for at least 6 months prior to applying.
    • Free from minor misdemeanors (e.g., reckless driving) for at least 60 days prior to applying.
    • Completion of the SADOC FRD Program, which offers rehabilitative and development resources for ex-offenders.
    These stringent guidelines ensure that applicants are committed to their rehabilitation and are ready to re-enter society as responsible and productive citizens.

    Available Positions: This program offers a variety of positions across key government bureaus, providing unique opportunities for personal and professional growth. The available positions include:
    • HR Assistant – Administration Bureau
    • Public Relations Intern – Public Relations Bureau
    • DoED Intern – Department of Economic Development
    • Flight Instructor – San Andreas Aviation Administration
    • Congressional Assistant – Law Review Committee
    Governor Jason Castillo and Chief Of Staff Emily Whitehorse expressed enthusiasm for the new initiative:
    Governor Jason Castillo wrote:I am thrilled to see the launch of the Ex-Felon Employment Program, a vital initiative that offers meaningful second chances to those who have worked hard to rebuild their lives. By providing employment opportunities within our state government, we are giving these individuals the chance to contribute to society and grow. It is safe to say that this program represents our commitment to inclusion, rehabilitation and creating a brighter future for all.
    Chief Of Staff Emily Whitehorse wrote: A way for reformed felons to apply for to the San Andreas State Government has been something that has long been discussed, with many revised approaches being considered before finally settling on this system. I firmly believe through our cooperation with Law Enforcement, concerns regarding misuse of the trust in these position will be swiftly mitigated, and provide a truly structured environment for those turning a new leaf to succeed. I am very excited to see how successful this program will be, and to meet those looking to turn their lives around and become a servant of the people through their work with us in the San Andreas State Government.
    The Ex-Felon Employment Program is a part of the state’s broader initiative to provide a path forward for those who have served their time and are now ready to give back to their communities.
