- 3.1) Why are you seeking employment with the San Andreas Judicial Branch? (200 word minimum)
- I wish to learn law as I believe in Los Santos being able to represent yourself and others in a fair and just way is crucial to being successful. I want to establish myself as a successful lawyer because of some of what I have seen as a mechanic. I have seen legal representatives of LSC and even assisted some of them in their work. This has made me really excited to pursue law as it is a very valuable skill. I am also looking at different career paths currently and have decided on law as many other positions in the government don’t suit me well. I prefer to sit behind a desk processing facts and collecting evidence rather than being an agent or paralegal who assists a lawyer in these tasks. I also want to make connections as in Los Santos one of the most important things is connections, in law I would like to meet more people and get a chance to see the internal workings of the government, to see if further progressing down a law career is for me. Overall, I am interested in working in law as I believe it is a great opportunity to learn and make connections.
- I have a fair amount of experience with law due to my time at the DOC understanding the conditions of a client in the DOC helps me understand their issues and why they feel how they do, giving me more understanding and empathy towards clients. I started in Los Santos about a year ago where I had been acting as a road worker and generally lived in a unproductive way. Throughout the last year I have spent the time bettering myself, through acquiring my own house, making friends and finding further employment in Los Santos. I believe I am at a point where I have the stability to try something new and acting as a Law Student seems like the perfect thing. I believe I would be a better candidate because I have experience with other employers that would allow me to understand how to assist a client and their side of the story
- "Resourceful" is the word I would use to describe myself. As a mechanic and DOC employee you have to learn to be resourceful as you may experience issues while working on a customer's car and not have the correct part to repair it or you may be dealing with a situation that requires tactful thinking in a cellblock, I believe this shows resourcefulness because it show a ability to adapt and use the resources around me to make the best of my situation.
- I heard about this position while applying for my shotgun license. I was at city hall paying the fee for my license when two lawyers came up to me and asked what I was doing. We got into a great conversation that really piqued my interest in becoming a lawyer myself as they gave great options on the job.
