Los Santos: After every month, our supervisory and command teams review the Officers working below them and nominate those who have shown significant dedication to the department through their hours on shift, their high individual performances within their respective divisions and also and most importantly, their embodiment of the values that we hold dear, here in the Los Santos Police Department.
It is with that in mind, that we would like to congratulate Police Detective I Mikael Cowell on becoming the latest recipient of the Officer of the Month award for March 2024.
MIKAEL COWELL
Detective Mikael Cowell was put forward by the Assistant Commanding Officer of the Gang and Narcotics Division, Police Lieutenant I Samuel Martin with the following statement:
Detective Cowell successfully graduated from the academy on April 12th, 2019, making his way to Police Lieutenant I in late 2021. After a short resignation, he has returned to the department a couple of times, most recently on February 24th, 2023. Since joining the department, Detective Cowell has displayed an incredible work ethic and a keen insight into detective work.
Detective Cowell continues to excel in his position within the Gang and Narcotics Division, especially given the terrorist events of the past month, which have affected so many citizens. In the past month, Detective Cowell has been dedicated to dismantling the terrorist organization known as "the shadows" while overseeing the security of multiple high-level members who were targeted in these attacks. He has been commended externally, and we recognize his above-and-beyond work this past month.
We'd also like to give honorable mentions to Hunter Parker and Lionel Taylor.
Congratulations, Detective Cowell! We look forward to your continued success in the department.

Police Lieutenant Samuel Martin wrote:Detective Cowell has been putting consistent effort into working against organized crime. Cowell continues to do excellent fieldwork and investigations while still maintaining a high paperwork count within the internal GND sections. Throughout the month of March Detective Cowell has managed to submit and secure 10 plus search warrants, allowing the LSPD to take multiple criminal weapon stashs off the streets.
