Sorry for the delayed response on the times provided. I have been busy training other inspectors to take part in the inspection as SADOC requires 2 or more inspectors on site for the inspection process due to the size of the properties.

If you could, could you please reply with an update to the time availability for the inspection to take place? That would greatly appreciated!

Just so you are aware of what is needed to pass the inspection, you need the following:

•Fire suppression systems in every cell block and kitchen area. That means sprinklers and co2 suppression on the ceilings of the blocks and kitchens.
•Water and CO2 Fire Extinguishers in every location that could pose a fire threat and within range of an employee to use.
•Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detectors and Alarms in every large room that could be at risk of fire and in every cell block and kitchen.
•First Aid stations and kits outside of the Medical Bay to provide quick medical aid to any injured personnel or inmate. These can be placed in areas where personnel can safety and easily access.
•Manual Fire Alarms in areas that personnel can manually press in the event of a system failure.
•Easy Fire Department access to the Electrical Box and Breaker Boxes in the event of a fire.


Please try and have the above-mentioned handled before the inspection in order to speed the process up!

Fuse boxes appear good and present, also easy to access for FD.
Exits are well lit and visible.

Issues that need to be fixed:

• Missing sprinklers in every high traffic area. [Front desk, Processing hall, Evidence locker, Foyer, Cellblock, Cellblock Gym, Laundry room, Litter garbage room, Room between cellblock and yard, medbey hallway, lockers, Hallway by HR Offices, Hallway top of the stairs by medbay.]
• No smoke detectors.
• No fire safety equipment in the External garage [Co2 Fire extinguisher, Smoke detector & Alarm]
