Los Santos: On the evening of September 20th, at approximately 8:15 PM, the Los Santos Police Department responded to a critical situation at City Hall. A collaborative effort between emergency medical services and law enforcement averted what could have been a catastrophic incident.

The Los Santos Police Department was made aware of a potential explosive device found within City Hall, which prompted the immediate evacuation of all employees and individuals within the building. Within minutes, officers arrived at the scene, and a specialized bomb squad of the Metropolitan Division was swiftly deployed. The Los Santos Emergency Medical Services' Fire Department also responded within minutes and assisted in establishing a secure perimeter.

Two officers from the Metropolitan Division equipped themselves with protective gear and entered City Hall to conduct a sweep and assess the situation. This led to the identification of an explosive device loaded with C-4. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, two additional SWAT Officers skillfully maneuvered an armored vehicle to the entrance of City Hall, which allowed the bomb squad to carefully move the explosive device into the vehicle and transport it to a remote, uninhabited location in the County for a controlled detonation.

Following the safe removal of the explosive device and a thorough sweep of the building, all employees were able to return to their workplace, within 30 minutes, thanks to the valiant and quick-thinking efforts of the responding law enforcement officers and emergency personnel.

This incident serves as a powerful reminder of the bravery and dedication exhibited by the Los Santos Police Department and the Fire Department in ensuring the safety and security of our community. The collaborative response in this high-pressure situation undoubtedly prevented a potential disaster.
