MESSAGE OF THE MONTH
- The Los Santos Police Department has seen a very significant increase in the number of house burglaries being reported to us, affecting every neighborhood in the city without discrimination. We have been working hard to handle this new crime wave, but at times the number of calls coming in have overloaded our capacity to respond. Towards the end of the month things have calmed down somewhat, and we are once again on top of our responses, but we recommend everyone to stay vigilant and take precautionary steps to protect themselves. Installing extra locks, CCTV cameras, and alarm systems are good examples. If you are the victim of a burglary, call 911 as soon as it is safe to do so, and be careful as criminals may be armed.
OFFICER OF THE MONTH
- Police Officer III Brian Dox first joined the Los Santos Police Department on the 21st of May, 2022 as a Police Cadet following his Academy Graduation from Class #215.
As like any other Cadet, Brian went through the Field Training Program - passing it in June of 2022 which was followed by a promotion to Police Officer I. Brian, upon his promotion, was assigned to the Vespucci Patrol Divison where he would earn the rank of Police Officer II in late July, and the rank of Police Officer III in early November of 2022.
Shortly after this promotion to Police Officer III, Officer Dox was reassigned to the Metropolitan Division where he currently resides - being nominated on behalf of the division for his exceptional performance for the month of November.
The last two weeks of February Officer Dox had 60 hours on shift, averaging about 30 hours a week throughout the month to have him nominated for the Officer of the Month Award. Accompanied by his stellar time on shift, Brian also justified his hours with close to 50 pieces of optional paperwork for the aforementioned weeks to solidify his nomination.Metropolitan Division Command wrote: Officer Dox has been putting in good work this month and has been keeping consistently high hours while maintaining a strong enough presence in paperwork and Field Training. 150 hours, 28 pieces of non-optional paperwork, 75 pieces of optional paperwork, 4 Field Training Sessions.
For that, the Los Santos Police Department wishes to congratulate Officer Dox on his performance and the recognition thereof during the month of February by the issuance of the Officer of the Month award, which is an award that signifies universal commitment and excellence as an officer.
