- Effective immediately the state-wide flight restrictions will be lifted, and those with pilot licenses will be able to purchase, register, and fly their own aircraft under the new airspace rules, regulations, and guidelines.
The San Andreas Aviation Administration has been trialing flight school over the last few weeks with great success and have certified over 30 individuals for flight in their test phase, and we now believe we are in a position to allow those with public pilot licenses to begin flight. Do not fret if you are looking for a license, public flight school will be open effective immediately. You may pay the $250,000 fee once your application is accepted (Members of the Government, SAJB, LSPD, LSSD, LSEMS and SADOC will be able to receive 25% off.)
Below you can find a list of all relevant new pieces of documentation for those who have successfully obtained their pilot's license:- ATC Terminology
- Prohibited Airspace
- Restricted Airspace
- City of Los Santos
- Airspace Authorization Form
- Quick Reference Guide - Restrictions
- Flight Guidelines
Once you have acquired your brand new aircraft, you must register it, as well as any private helipads you intend on creating before you use either of them. Click here to register your aircraft or helipad. (Note: Helipads must be registered and approved prior to being built to be within compliance.)
Pilots will also be required to complete mandatory flight logs after each flight, these will be publicly available alongside pilot license status here.
If you get into a crash or other aircraft incident you must fill out an Aircraft incident report to allow for the SAAA to internally investigate and check for any negligence or breaches in protocol.
The Aviation Notice Board is required to be checked before each flight to ensure pilots are up-to-date with any changes or restrictions currently in place, or any changes to rules and limitations in the skies.
If your aircraft is in need of maintenance or repair, LSC and Bayview have been trained and outfitted with relevant equipment to conduct repairs for any incidents or general wear and tear of the aircraft. Be sure to specify within any mechanic requests that the services are needed on an aircraft.
We are excited about the new business opportunities this should being people and we will be reacting vigilantly to any incidents that happen. If you have any inquiries regarding this press release, feel free to contact the people below.
((OOC Information & Rules around Aircrafts))
To ensure that players are roleplaying and character-building, individuals may only fly aircraft with IC knowledge gained through the SAAA or Legal Factions means.
For example, you may have made up a back story of having flight knowledge for your character such as attending flight school outside the city or being part of the air force in another country. This, however, is not sufficient grounds for you to fly any type of aircraft, and doing so will be considered a non-roleplay behavior.
On the other hand, if you have gained a license through the SAAA and it has been revoked or you have been part of any government factions in which you have acquired training and certifications to fly an aircraft, flying a stolen aircraft or a personal aircraft with your pilot's license revoked is acceptable and will not be considered as non-roleplay as you have already obtained the IC knowledge through this server.
