San Andreas State Government
- Following up on a community letterbox inquiry asking about the legality of LSC employees enforcing parking pay around the city, the San Andreas State Government has decided to work alongside Los Santos Customs and Bayview CEO's to formalize a process in which this can happen in a transparent manner.
Until this point, LSC has operated from an old agreement with the LSPD for these towing practices as highlighted in the community letterbox response, but moving forward the agreement will be between LSC & Bayview, and the State Government.
Trained mechanics (as dictated by their internal training protocol), will be able to tow and impound vehicles under the following policies:
- If the vehicle is parked illegally as per the State of San Andreas Penal Code.
- If the vehicle is parked in a parking fee-enforced zone without valid parking pay.
- If the vehicle is parked on private property and the owner of said property requests the vehicle to be removed from the said property after legitimizing themselves as the owners.
- When LSPD, LSSD, LSEMS or SASG/SAJB requests a vehicle to be impounded through the mechanic request system.
((
OOC considerations will also be in place, such as, but not limited to:- Desync - Vehicles such as motorcycles often desync into the road, in this case, the vehicle will either be towed back to the side of the road or secure impounded.
- Disconnects - If a vehicle is found to be in the middle of the road mechanics will wait around 10 minutes before towing the vehicle to give chance for return, and #crash-reports discord channel will be checked so be sure to post there if you disconnect.
- Civilian spawned vehicles - Around the map, there are spawned vehicles used for the vehicle chop system. None of these should be illegally parked so they will be left alone.
