Hello, my name is Damian Howard, I currently work at LSC as a junior mechanic. I am a motivated, hard working individual who works well with different people, I am able to handle tasks with confidence and focus to reach full completion of given tasks and am able to work at full capacity. I like to have fun and love energetic jobs. I am also eager to learn new skills and develop my own skills from this job if I am hired. I am currently applying for this job because I think this is a perfect fit for me and something I would enjoy, I have also heard good things about SADOC from other people.

How much time and energy do you plan on dedicating to the department in the event you are hired?
I am planning on doing approximately above 15 hours a week in the event of being hired, I will try my best to push myself to get above the asked hours.

Why do you want to join the San Andreas Department of Corrections, and why should we hire you over other applicants? (minimum 125 words)
I would like to join the SADOC because I have heard great things about this job. I think I would be a perfect fit for this job because I think the skills I have gained and developed from working at LSC such as working under pressure, working with different people and understanding what to do in different situations will deliver great results on the field at SADOC. I think I will fit in greatly within the team of SADOC because I work well with many types of people. I think hiring me would be a great choice for your company because it will help SADOC achieve more and make the company a better place.

How do you handle pressure or stressful situations?
Make sure to understand the situation so to know what you're facing. Make sure you know what you're going to be doing in that situation and follow the task in steps so to make sure you don't get lost and to not struggle. Keep a positive attitude.

What qualifications or traits do you possess that may be an asset to us (Minimum 75 words)?
My confidence in myself and others is good. I am reliable. I collaborate well with different people by using good communication skills so that people feel welcome. I have a strong work ethic, letting know that my colleagues and customers can depend by showing the consistency in the performance of my job. I am flexible and adapt well with different work environments, I know when I should take action by managing what I am doing. I am also very professional, allowing employers to be comfortable within knowing that when they hire me, I can help expand their business for the better.

What have you learned and changed about yourself since being charged with a felony/misdemeanor (Minimum 100 words)?
I have learned that the criminal life has no benefit, all it does is makes a person worse because that's what it did to me. I have learned to change things about myself for the better. The criminal life is not worth it, I have changed many things about myself since my last felony, I have stopped involving myself within criminal activity and furthered myself from people who are criminals. I have learned to make myself thing more positively and to stop complaining about little things in my life and to enjoy them instead because everything happens for a reason. I have stopped comparing myself to others and stuck with what I know is good for me. All these changes have allowed me to move forward in my life and has improved my overally quality of live and how I live.

Petty theft, haved robbed a shop because I was desperate for money.
Evading arrest because I had a gun on me without a license.

I have around 25 felonies all together.
