  • The Los Santos County Sheriff's Department's budget request for 2023 has been submitted to the San Andreas State Government. In this budget request, the department has requested an additional $300,000,000 to go towards the funding of a new operational office, the Catfish Station. If approved, this station will house our Special Enforcement Detail and our newly created Sheriff's Investigations Bureau.

Catfish has historically been a troubled area of the county, although the Sheriff's Department was able to near eradicate the violent criminal activities in the area, it has over recent years started to increase rapidly once more.

The root of this problem is due to the area's seclusion from the general public. In catfish, there are few homes, few recreational activities, and possibilities, which does not attract attention from the public, and thus, it becomes a prime area for violent criminals and their smuggling and trafficking activities.

The Sheriff's Department intends to once more eradicate these violent criminal activities, by getting closer to them. We envision a safe county, a county where both residents and travelers can enjoy the beauty of what it has to offer, the shores, the mountains, the landmarks, and much more. And in order to proactively ensure that our county can be enjoyed by everyone, we need to be more prepared to react.

The location in which we intend to build Catfish Station is considered a prime strategic location. It'll allow our department's most elite easy access to not only water and airspace but will also allow them quicker response time to several other hotspots of criminal activity in the county. This strategic location will also allow the Sheriff's Department to maintain our surveillance drones in the sky 24/7 as they will now effectively have three separate locations at which they can be refueled.

We are eager to share this 3d modeled demonstration of what Catfish Station would look like, with minor details and structures missing.

We can only hope that the Government will approve this new station, for a brighter future, for the county.
