  • The Detention and Parole Bureau announced a new way for parolees to get back on their feet and become productive members of society this week. Under the new joint collaboration with the Downtown Cab Company, parolees can get a full-time job with DCC and work towards bettering themselves.

"We believe that authorizing this program to take place will significantly improve the probability of a smooth reintegration into the community for the parolee," said Senior Agent Salatoni. "DCC itself both improves social skills, driving skills and time management skills; all of which are beneficial to a newly released would-be-felon. Releasing a parolee forthright from the penitentiary may correspondingly leave them finically unviable at times, this supplementary finical support should help an even smoother integration than before."

Internal statistics from the Detention and Parole Bureau show that 50-60% of parolees inquire about acquiring a job with DCC, LSC, Bayview and Weazel News. This new collaboration with DCC will allow the Detention and Parole Bureau to further its goal of reforming criminals.

When parolees first get hired into the program they will be offered a probationary rank within DCC. During their time in DCC, they will receive foundational training, payment for their work and employable skills. If the parolee's performance is deemed worthy, DCC will offer the parolee a full-time position.

Customers with Downtown Cab Company can be assured that their safety is guaranteed as all parolees do not have violent offenses and the Downtown Cab Company has an internal list of felonies that will disallow someone from applying to the program.
