Dear Mr. Lasford,

Your ride-along request with the Los Santos Emergency Medical Services has been APPROVED. Please keep this ride-along request readily available throughout any of your ride-along sessions. We hope that you will get to see first-hand how the Medical Department and its employees operate day-to-day.

This ride-along request is valid for 28 days ((7 days)), after the 28 days ((7 days)) have passed your ride-along request will expire. If you are still interested in our ride-along program after your request has expired, you must submit a new one.

What should I do now?
  • You are expected to follow common courtesy and show respect to the medic in-charge of your ride-along session, as so, we request you to dress properly and keep an eye on your personal hygiene.
  • If you are in possession of any weapons, make sure not to bring them to a ride-along session. The medic in-charge will be frisking you before starting a ride-along session and will confiscate any weapons into their possession until the end of the session.
  • When you are ready for a ride-along session, visit the Pillbox Hill Medical Center at Strawberry Avenue and ask if any EMT-I or above is available to conduct a ride-along session. There is no limit to the amount of sessions you may do, so long as your request is active.
  • If no employees are available to conduct a ride-along session, try again another time or schedule a ride-along session beforehand. Your sessions may be conducted by a different medic each time.
Sincerely,
Elise de la Croix

Quick overview of the session:
The ride-along with Viper Lasford was one of the best I have ever done in service of LSEMS. She was very helpful, since she has served in the military before as a doctor, as she told me, therefore she has the experience. We had responded to calls including:
  • 1 broken foot
  • 2 broken legs
  • 1 patient with GSW and massive bleeding
  • 1 dehydrated patient
  • 1 patient injured at Mt. Chilliad, whose body we have found fallen off the cliff, being eaten by wild animals
Did any issues occur during the session?:
No major, nor minor issues. Almost killing ourselves driving down the Mt. Chilliad shall not be listed in the report...
Any additional notes for further ride-along sessions:
Viper is very friendly. She has also told me, she wants to join the MD in Los Santos. This job would suit her, because she likes helping other and taken in mind her experience, she is the one LSEMS are looking for - a skilled professional.

Sincerely,

Quick overview of the session:
Viper has done more than well, assisting me when needed with bringing me equipment from the Ambulance and discussing the patient's condition with me, since she used to me a medic too. Me and Viper have been to more than ten calls today, two of which were PD calls. She stayed calm during the whole session. The calls included:
  • 1 broken arm
  • 3 broken legs
  • 3 patients with GSW all over their bodies
  • 1 patient with GSW in his shoulder
  • 1 call where no patient was found on scene
Did any issues occur during the session?:
No issues at all.
Any additional notes for further ride-along sessions:
Viper might want to become an EMT and having her in our team would make LSEMS even better and faster to respond, since she spends a lot of time in the city and is experienced from the army.

Sincerely,

Quick overview of the session:
EMT-I Rew asked me if I could take Miss Lasford on a ride-along since he had to take a break from duty and no other EMT-Intermediates were on duty at the time. I agreed and took her with me during this long and interesting shift.

I responded to around 25-30 calls during the ride-along session.
Most of the calls were related to PD situations with suspects who had gunshot wounds and citizens in traffic accidents. I hence got to show Viper Lasford a vast majority of our most common situations and how to deal with them. She seemed very interested and did not wish to leave the ride-along at any time. I decided it was time for a refreshing break.

Did any issues occur during the session?:
One issue occured during the session where we responded to a call close to a drug lab.
We found one patient on the floor and one masked guy who appeared to be his friend. Miss Lasford got a little bit too curious about the situation and asked the friend what he was doing there. The man got a bit upset as I guess he thought Miss Lasford's intention was to call the police.
I made sure that the situation did not escalate by speaking in a calm tone to both of the boys on scene and we left unharmed. I also told Viper Lasford that our primary duty on scene is to treat the patient and to avoid escalating situations to ensure our own and the patient's safety - at all times.

Any additional notes for further ride-along sessions:
It was a pleasure to have Miss Lasford as my ride-along partner. She expressed a great interest in applying for LSEMS and I told her that I would be looking forwards to reading her application and wished her the best of luck in doing so.
