Please provide a short biography about yourself (minimum 100 words):
My name is Antonio Baucci, I'm a tall, 21-year-old, African American. Before I was born, my parents met each other while my father was on vacation in Italy. I have one brother named Anthony who is a year older than me, I was born on the Southside of Chicago and as a kid, I grew up in a poor, working-class family, and to help put food on the table I had to do any work that I could to make money. This work included mowing lawns, washing dishes at restaurants, and other odd jobs. Growing up on the south side of Chicago, I was exposed to violence and crime at a very young age. My father, James, was an ex-marine that had done some bad things after he was discharged, and when I was only 5 my father was shot and killed only feet from my doorstep. I watched sobbing and confused as to why my father was shot and killed out on our front porch, and when I was old enough to realize why my father was killed, I made a promise to myself and my father that I would make him proud and help put a stop to the violence. When I was 14, I joined my city's Junior Police Academy. After I joined the program, I would always talk to and learn lessons from the officers. After I graduated, I attended Ohio State University for 2 years then decided that I would like to work in law enforcement. After moving to where I am currently, I made some friends and decided to get a part-time job until I felt that I was ready to work in law enforcement and now I feel that I am ready to work in law enforcement.
I plan on working at least 20 hours a week and will probably work more.
I am applying to the SADOC because when I was young, my father was killed feet from our doorstep due to violence, and when I was 14 years old I had made a promise to myself and my father to help stop crime and especially violent crimes. To become a Los Santos Sheriff is one of the greatest honors I could hope to achieve in my very brief life. I hope to help make a significant impact on our city and make it safer for the average citizen by helping criminals change their ways and become good people. I feel that I need to make a difference in the world, and the SADOC seems like a great place to start. I understand that it is a challenging job but I also am willing to accept that and take that risk. I understand that there are many things that I need to learn and there are skills that I need to master, but being able to go to work every day and being able to help people would bring happiness to me and it keeps the community safe. I feel that becoming a correctional officer would be a great honor and it would help fulfill my promise to myself and my father. I hope that I can help the city become a better place and help criminals become good people.
I feel that I handle stressful situations well.
One of the most valuable traits that I have is leadership, being able to take control of a heated situation while keeping yourself and others calm is very useful. Another very valuable trait that I have is that if something is important to me, I will put as much time and dedication into it as I can. I plan on putting lots of my time and dedication into being a correctional officer if I am accepted into the SADOC. A third trait that I have is being a very hard worker. Growing up poor, I was always either studying for school or working and this has helped strengthen my ability to do my job as best as I can. The last very valuable trait that I possess is that I am very caring about people. Ever since my father's passing, I have held the people dearest to me above me and I would put my life on the line to protect them and others.

As a child I spent a lot of time in our Junior police academy so I feel that I know a good amount about the law.

The first punishment that I have ever received was a breach of NLR, at the time I was new to the server and didn't understand that I had to wait to go back and retrieve my vehicle. Since this, I have reviewed the rule and now understand it to its full capacity.
The second punishment I have is for ignoring demands from a stalled vehicle. This was also from when I was new to the server and at the time I should have known that it was a rule break and shouldn't have driven off. I understand what I did wrong and will not do it again.
My third punishment was for DM'ing a police officer. At the time I made a bad decision in the heat of the moment and I now understand what I did wrong and why I received the punishment.
