My name is Jessie Marie Sickle. I am from the "Big Easy" or New Orleans for you folks that don't know much about the area. I grew up in the Seventh Ward, one of the worst neighborhoods in New Orleans. It was one of the neighborhoods hit pretty hard after Katrina. My family was small, consisted of my Father, a member of the NOPD, and a older sister. After Katrina hit we moved a little north of New Orleans where my father got a job at the local PD. After High school I went to college in Baton Rogue at the college of LSU where I majored in Psychology and Criminology ((Actually have a degree in Psychology)). Now with my degree's I am pursuing a career in the Criminal Justice field so I may advance myself and my career. I want to help and study criminals and provide them with information and the help they need to do, and be better.
I would start with 6-8 hours a day as a standard.
I would like to join the SADOC because I want to be apart of something bigger than myself, bigger than just catching bad guys. I want to study them. I want to be able to help them understand that what they have done is wrong, and rehabilitate them. I believe my experience with my degree makes me stand out over your typical applicant and my willingness to learn and put in hard work and the hours. I am friendly and easy to work with, as well as a quick learner.
I try to react better to situations rather than to stress. That way, I can handle the situation without becoming overly stressed.
I am a social butterfly, with my background and degree in Psychology I have a very high communication base. I am a good listener and I understand and pick up on peoples feelings very well. I am a team player but can also take up a leadership role when it presents itself. I am also very physically active, I trained in kickboxing for many years to prepare myself for my future in the Criminal Justice field. I also have scored high marks in both small and heavy caliber weaponry. I also feel that I carry myself in a very professional way.

I use to work for LSC but I had to leave town for a few months so i put in my resignation. We worked well as a team there in providing excellent customer service.
