San Andreas Judicial Branch Criminal Court Submission Time-frame Changes "EQUAL JUSTICE UNDER LAW" |

- Citizens of San Andreas,
The San Andreas Judicial Branch is implementing an update to the criminal court submission time-frame to better ensure fairness and accessibility for all individuals within the State.
Under the previous standard, individuals were required to submit a criminal court case within 7 days of charges being placed. While this timeline encouraged timely filings, it also created circumstances where individuals could unknowingly have a warrant issued for their arrest and lose the ability to contest those charges before ever becoming aware of them.
After review, the Judicial Branch has created a new time-frame that we believe is a compromise between two extremes.
Updated Court Submission Times:- Standard: 14 days from the date charges are placed (replacing 7 days)
- Extraordinary Circumstances: 30 days from the date charges are placed
- (( Individuals that have not logged onto that character for 30 days or less from the point the charge(s) was placed. ))
- Instances where defendants have managed to escape capture from law enforcement as long as their court filing is within 30 days of the charge(s) being place.
