- Citizens of San Andreas,
The San Andreas Judicial Branch (SAJB) announces the implementation of a new initiative designed to recognize consistent good behavior and abstinence from crime: the Get Out of Jail Free Card.
Under this program, eligible individuals may be granted a one-time exemption from incarceration and fines for any offense. This initiative reflects the Branch’s understanding that rehabilitation is not always linear, and that even otherwise law-abiding individuals may occasionally make a poor decision.
- Program Overview:
- Each individual may receive one (1) Get Out of Jail Free Card per chance.
- The authorization is non-transferable and holds no monetary value. (No, you do not collect $200.)
Eligibility Considerations:- Demonstrated history of lawful behavior
- Contribution to the community
- Whether the individual has been “passing go” without issue, or frequently cycling back through the system
- Origins of the Program
The concept for this initiative was developed following a late-night monopoly game between Hope Kant, Hugh Allgood, Rowin Lawson, and Joseph Horton. According to those present, the game involved a level of competitiveness that may have exceeded the intended spirit. Disagreements arose over property control, rent enforcement, and at least one questionable banking decision.
During the game, a Get Out of Jail Free card was played at a particularly convenient moment, prompting a broader conversation on its real-world application. While no formal conclusion was reached regarding the winner, it has been informally agreed that certain participants will not be entrusted with the role of the banker for future game-play.
- Closing
The SAJB remains committed to maintaining a fair and structured legal system while continuing to explore practical approaches to accountability and rehabilitation.
Members of the public are encouraged to continue making lawful decisions and contributing positively to the State. Because while second chances may exist, they are not guaranteed, and most situations cannot be resolved by simply pulling a card at the exact right moment.
