Letter From the Governor

Emily Whitehorse wrote: Spring is officially here San Andreas, and with it brings excitement. From the Los Santos River flowing more than ever, to the excitement around spring break, early April is shaping up to be one of the most busiest event filled times in recent memory. This month was quiet across the state, but some important events did wrap up the month such as the Gov Grand Prix Season 2. I am looking forward to next month where we will see events from Pearls, Club Bivins, as well as a car show that I hope will cater to those with less flashy tastes in cars.
The Grand Prix final was a multi-lap endurance race that tested the skills of each racer, and it was a close race. In the end only one could be winner and it was a close one. Congratulations to them for winning $500,000, and a huge shout out to all the staff who participated in this event. I hope everyone, including the participants, enjoyed showing up each week to experience the thrill of the race. I look forward to a potential Season 3!
Id also like to take a special moment in this quote to wish Ema Thompson and Clay Thompson all the best in their most recent marriage. Ema has been Director of the Administration Bureau for a while now, and while generally not in the spotlight, has been working hard to ensure the backend labor of the bureau is kept up to date. Ema and Clay have long been together, and I hope this new bond amplifies each other and their enduring love.

Bureau Spotlight: Public Works Division
Highlighting heroes who work behind the scenes to keep our streets clean!

Every day, long before most residents begin their routines, the Public Works Division is already hard at work ensuring our city remains clean and welcoming. While most people may never see the work they do, they are a crucial component of the state government that keeps our city in order. From removing spray paint to repairing infrastructure or even responding to disasters, their efforts often go unnoticed, but the impact is felt by everyone. This month, we asked Foreman Johnnie Ravenhill about his work and why the division's work is so important.

Do you think you would make a good fit for the Public Works Division? Consider contacting a member of the administration bureau or speaking to Mr Ravenhill to find out more about the division and how you can get involved. Public and Private entities can also contact us if they would like to partner with the division.Foreman Johnnie Ravenhill wrote: Public works are the backbone of modern society, quietly shaping the way people live, move, and interact every day. The term refers to government-funded infrastructure projects designed to serve the public good. Things like roads, bridges, water systems, public schools, parks, and keeping the streets clean and shining. Though often overlooked, these systems are essential to economic growth, public health, and overall quality of life.
Public works also play a critical role in public health and safety. Clean water systems, sewage treatment facilities, and waste management services help prevent disease and maintain sanitary living conditions. Infrastructure like dams, levees, and drainage systems protects communities from natural disasters such as floods.
Beyond practicality, public works contribute to community identity and well-being. Parks, libraries, and recreational facilities offer spaces for relaxation, education, and social interaction. These shared environments foster a sense of community and improve mental and physical health.
Despite their importance, public works often face challenges such as ageing infrastructure, budget constraints, and the need for sustainable development. As populations grow and climate concerns intensify, governments must invest wisely in maintaining and upgrading these systems.
Despite these hardships in the past, the SASG Public Works division has since come back stronger and better than ever. Proving not only their dedication to maintaining a clean and safe environment for the public to grow and enjoy, but also to their ability to respond and quickly repair damaged public infrastructures, such as both the Power Plant attack and the gas leak that caused so much damage and chaos to the citizens. To the unfortunate air transportation vehicle crashes that damage and block public transit and transportation.
In essence, public works are more than just construction projects; they are long-term investments in a society’s stability, prosperity, and future. We proudly strive to bring Los Santos a better tomorrow.

Welcoming a New Era of Animal Care
San Andreas Animal Clinic Opens Its Doors
This month marks an exciting milestone for animal lovers across the state as the San Andreas Animal Clinic officially opens its doors. With two convenient locations in Grapeseed and Rockford Hills, the clinic is set to provide high-quality, compassionate care for domestic pets while laying the groundwork for expanded services in the near future.
Founded by Lue Washington, the San Andreas Animal Clinic represents more than just a new veterinary service; it’s a commitment to the well-being of the state’s animals and the people who care for them. Backed by the San Andreas State Government, this initiative reflects a broader mission to strengthen the community by protecting those who cannot ask for help themselves.

At launch, the clinic will focus on serving domestic pets, offering essential veterinary services designed to keep animals healthy, safe, and thriving. However, plans are already underway to broaden their expertise, with specialised care for exotic pets expected to roll out in the coming months, an exciting development for owners of more unique companions.
As the clinic begins operations, it is also creating new opportunities within the community. The San Andreas Animal Clinic is currently hiring Animal Care Technicians and Veterinary Staff, inviting passionate and dedicated individuals to join a growing team committed to making a real difference. This expansion not only enhances local services but also contributes to job creation and professional development within the state.
Residents are encouraged to visit either the Grapeseed or Rockford Hills location to learn more about available services, meet the team, and join a community-driven effort to improve animal welfare.
With strong leadership, government support, and a clear vision for the future, the San Andreas Animal Clinic is poised to become a cornerstone of animal care across the region, ensuring that every pet, no matter how big or small, receives the care and compassion it deserves.

Employee of the Month - March 2026

Alex Schill - #20113
SASG Employee of the Month: Continued
Alex Schill has been named Employee of the Month for March, earning this well-deserved recognition for his outstanding contributions and dedication! After recently being reinstated into GSB, Alex has gone above and beyond by providing tremendous support to the administration bureau, stepping up whenever needed and making a significant positive impact on daily operations. His hard work, reliability, and positive attitude have not gone unnoticed, leading to this special award. Congratulations, Alex, we’re all proud of your achievements and grateful for everything you do! If you see him around, be sure to congratulate him personally and celebrate his success. Great job, Alex!

Security Director Tristan Murphy wrote:I would like to recognise Agent Alex Schill for his outstanding professionalism and dedication this month. Early this month, he went above and beyond his duties by ensuring Agent Sterling's safety during a medical transport and stepping in to assist medical staff when additional help was needed, despite not being on duty in that capacity. In addition, he has consistently supported both AB and GSB operations, offered guidance to others, and shown genuine initiative by contributing ideas to improve the San Andreas State Government. Agent Schill truly embodies the professionalism, teamwork, and commitment to service that our organisation represents.

Director Ema Thompson wrote:Since returning to SASG, Alex hasn’t just settled back in; he’s hit the ground running. Starting as a GSB and quickly taking on AB responsibilities, he has set a brilliant example with his initiative and dedication. A well-earned Employee of the Month.

Meet the Team!
Meet the Team - Public Relations

Welcome to our “Meet the Team” spotlight - your inside look at the people driving communication, transparency, and public trust across the San Andreas State Government.
Behind every announcement, press briefing, and community update is a dedicated Public Relations team working around the clock to ensure that information is clear, timely, and impactful. From managing media relations to shaping public messaging during critical moments, our PR professionals play a vital role in connecting government initiatives with the people they serve.
In this edition, we’re proud to introduce the individuals who bring strategy, creativity, and integrity to the forefront of public communication. Get to know the faces behind the headlines, learn about their roles, and discover what inspires them to serve the state of San Andreas every day.

Dan started his journey within the PR Team at DOC, working his way up to the Head of PR, one of his proudest achievements. This experience not only helped him to grow professionally but also personally! Already employed at a government entity, Dan was offered a position in the broader government that he simply couldn’t refuse.
Dan’s selfless commitment, dedication, and hard work have served him well, as he now serves as the Director within our Public Relations Team and as a Reserve Agent within the Government Security Bureau.
Here are some more facts about Dan to get to know him on a more personal level:
If you had to enter a talent show tomorrow, what would you do?
Honestly, I’d probably try to sing a Sabrina Carpenter song and fully expect to be laughed off the stage. It wouldn’t be pretty, but it would definitely be entertaining.
What is your favourite way to relax after a long day?
I like to unwind by either watching sports & planes land or just putting on some music and disconnecting for a bit. It helps me reset and clear my head.
What’s your go-to karaoke song?
Even though I’d probably regret it halfway through, I’d go with something fun and recognisable like “Mr Brightside,” so at least the crowd can carry me.
What's a weird fact you know for no reason?
"Your stomach acid is strong enough to dissolve razor blades. (Don't test this at home)”
What’s the best advice you’ve ever gotten?
“Stay consistent and trust the process. You don’t always see results right away, but if you keep putting in the work, it pays off over time.”

Cassidy attended one of our Recruitment Events last year, where, after a successful interview, she became an intern within the Public Relations Bureau. Through her hard work and dedication, she currently serves as the Deputy Director of our Public Relations Team and our GSB PR Coordinator.
Cassidy’s talents include photography and press release writing.
Here are some more facts about Cassidy to get to know her on a more personal level:
If you had to enter a talent show tomorrow, what would you do?
Does napping count? I'm pretty good at sleeping for what's basically a mini coma each night.
What is your favourite way to relax after a long day?
A nearly boiling bath with strawberry-scented bath salts
What’s your go-to karaoke song?
American Boy by Estelle and Kanye.
What's a weird fact you know for no reason?
There is a yearly competition called Fat Bear Week, where brown bears of one of Alaska's national parks are put head-to-head to determine who is the most prepared for winter hibernation, with the winner decided through bracket-style online voting.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever gotten?
“It is what it is, so control what you can control.”

SASG believes in second chances, and this is no truer than with Executive Official Emma Thompson. Emma started her journey within SASG as an Ex-Felon; however, she was given a chance to redeem herself within Public Relations. Having previously worked with Dan at Weazel News, she turned her talents to assist him with event planning.
Emma is proof that a leopard can change her spots, and through her hard work, selfless dedication, and creative mind, she is currently serving as the Executive Official on our Public Relations Team and as a Reserve Agent with the Government Security Bureau.
Here are some more facts about Emma to get to know her on a more personal level:
If you had to enter a talent show tomorrow, what would you do?
I don't know, I am the organiser when it comes to something like that
What is your favourite way to relax after a long day?
Curl up on the sofa and watch a movie
What’s your go-to karaoke song?
Meatloaf - Paradise by the Dashboard Light.
What's a weird fact you know for no reason?
Water might not be wet.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever gotten?
“Don't eat yellow snow.”
