The State of San Andreas, by and through the undersigned attorney, filed this Motion for Continuance, and the reasoning for request is as follows;

• Reasoning: Lead counsel will be away on an emergency trip necessitated by a sudden personal matter, and despite diligent efforts, there is no adequately prepared coverage for the setting scheduled.
  
  • Detailed Explanation: A good cause for granting the continuance exists because, suddenly, lead counsel must travel out of town for a personal emergency and cannot attend the scheduled trial. The event has arisen rather suddenly, and, trying as it may, no one suitable for coverage has been found on such short notice. The brief continuance will allow counsel to attend and ensure that the matter is not that of inefficiency, but fairness.
