1. INFORMATION

• The Sheriff's Information Media Press Pass allows employees of an official News Network and/or independent journalists to attend a specialized ride along with selected members of the Sheriff's Department.
  
  Once the application has been submitted, a member of SID Command will conduct the review, and a decision of denial or approval will be issued.
  
  A Sheriff's Information Media ride along may only be conducted by a member of the Sheriff's Information Divisional Command, Department Spokesperson's and member of the Sheriff's Department Supervisor+ Team.
  
  The Sheriff's Information Media Press Pass may be revoked for the following;
  • The individual have resigned or in other ways abandoned their position within the news network.
  • The individual has received charges not permitted by our penal code requirements, or found to have affiliations with a criminal organization.
  • The individual has failed to follow general requirements, orders by law enforcement officers during the session or have found not to be fit for the program.
  The Media Press Pass will received individual review, including employment & background check every two (2) months.

2. PERSONAL, PROFESSIONAL & PENAL CODE REQUIREMENTS

• The individual applying for the Sheriff's Department Press Pass must be an official employee of an official news network and/or an independent journalist providing factual news to the citizens of San Andreas.
  
  The passholder may not, previously, or during the duration of the Press Pass been charged with any serious felonies or violent crimes specified in the San Andreas Penal Code. All applications will receive individual reviews.

3. DURING THE RIDE-ALONG

• Upon arriving to one of the Sheriff's Stations to attend the ride along, the passholder will be subjected to a background check, including a search of personal belonging as per. Sheriff’s Ride-Along Program policies.
  
  The passholder may not bring any personal, legal or illegal firearms, weapons or substance to the ride-along. We do not offer personal law enforcement lockers as a storage opportunity.
  
  The passholder must stay polite and respectful, both when communicating with deputies, other government officials and suspects during the ride along. Always follow the orders of the deputy conducting the session. Passholders may have the possibility to leave the cruiser during active situations, but only when the scene has been secured.
  
  During the ride along, the passholder may be subjected to sensitive situations and information. It is important that we restrict some information to be publicly made, due to ongoing investigations and other internal policies. The media collected may be subjected to review before publishing.

  I understand that during this ride-along, I may witness sensitive scenes, hear confidential information, and be exposed to potentially dangerous situations. I agree to respect all operational restrictions, follow directions from deputies at all times, and refrain from publishing or broadcasting any restricted content without prior approval.
  
  I accept full responsibility for my safety, conduct, and the handling of any media collected. I release and hold harmless the State of San Andreas, the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department, and their employees from any and all liability for injury, loss, or claims arising from my participation in this program.
