- Buckle Up! - It could save your life
-
Information
- The Sheriff's Department's Buckle Up! competition is a seat belt awareness campaign. The three-point seat belt was invented in 1959 and installed in most everyday cars. Previously, only pilots, racers, and other professional drivers had the luxury of safety in their confined space using a harness. Despite existing for 62 years, many people today don't know the functionality of a seat belt, neither do they use them - and because of this, we see a great number of injuries and deaths caused in traffic every year.
In a state like San Andreas where drivers treat the roads as their personal autobahn, seat belts become even more important. While San Andreas doesn't regulate the usage of seat belts through legislation, it does not mean that they don't save lives - and quite frankly, the Sheriff's Department wishes to change legislation.
The Sheriff's Department challenges the public to print out this pamphlet (https://i.imgur.com/gDKHfNM.jpg) and to color it to their heart's desire.
