Over the past month, we have had two of our members of High Command resign from the department. We would like to all offer them the best in their future ventures. This is to serve as an overview of their achievement throughout their time in the LSEMS.

Kevin Grabber
Former Assistant Chief Kevin Grabber started his LSEMS journey all the way back in March 2019 as an EMR. He worked his way up the ranks very quickly becoming a supervisor in less than two months into working with us. From there he continued climbing the ranks for the first time reaching Deputy Chief of the LSEMS in August 2019. Now to think of reaching this position one time is quite an accomplishment. He reached this rank 3 separate times under 3 different Chiefs of the LSEMS. Mr. Grabber was active in a lot of divisions but the divisions he contributed the most to were the Supervisor Training Program, the Fire Department, and Air & Rescue. I could go on and on about his accomplishments throughout his 3 years in the department! You will be greatly missed, thank you for everything you have done.
Caleb Allison
Former Deputy Chief Allison began his journey less than one year ago. He climbed the ranks in under a year getting from a lowly EMR to the Deputy Chief of the LSEMS. His hard work and dedication to the department were shown time and time again. Mr. Allison is what you could call a paper pusher. His attention to detail and the amount of paperwork he did to help the department will help us for years to come. Willing to work with everyone and sort things out in a civil matter is what we look up to for a Deputy Chief. He was always there and able to answer any questions that anyone may have had. Starting his journey as the Interim Head of Audit, again making sure everyone else's paperwork was up to par. Again, I could go on and on but there is just too much to be said. You will be missed, thank you for everything you have done for the LSEMS!

Have you or your friends ever been involved in a serious or fatal car accident?

Car accidents are all too frequent in the state of San Andreas. It is important that everyone knows how to act when witnessing a car accident.

1.) Your first step is to call 911. Let dispatch know that there was a car accident. Ask for both an ambulance and a fire truck so we can prevent further injures while they are on scene.

2.) If you plan on helping the victim of the accident, there are a few things you need to understand. It is very likely that the accident has caused some spinal or neck injures. You must not move them from their location unless it is absolutely necessary. Only move them if they are in direct danger. This is to prevent further injuries.

3.) Until the medical personnel arrives, try and provide BLS if you are able. If they are breathing and conscious, try to keep their body flat and their neck still. This can be done by holding both sides of the head level with the body.

4.) If the victim is not conscious, check the pulse and their airways. If they are not breathing, provide CPR until medical personnel arrive.
