-LSPD Christmas Party 2020
-
- The Media Relations Division organized the annual Los Santos Police Department Christmas party at the Bayview Lodge in Southern Paleto this year. The party was inspired by the highly successful one from last year with a few additions. This year, an optioned Yosemite Rancher in classic white over blue was raffled off courtesy of Atomic Dealership, food and drink were provided free of charge to employees and plus 1's, and for the first time, a pub quiz was held by Liaison Officer Marchisio! The Los Santos Police Department would like to forward their thanks to all employees for attending the annual party, we hope that you had fun and enjoyed yourself.
The party was an overall success by all means. Food and beverage packages were handed out during the event by the newly appointed Deputy Chief of Police Xoza Shadow with the help of recently inducted cadets. The holiday spirit was at an all-time high, and with the organized costume contest, Christmas raffle and pub quiz everyone got the chance to have fun, participate and win prizes! The turnout was overwhelming. The Christmas raffle received a total of 26 participants and an astounding 130 entries!
To finish off the night Commissioner Lewis Langley, Chief of Police Alex Donnelly, Deputy Chief of Police Elena Blake, Deputy Chief of Police Ashley York, Deputy Chief of Police Xoza Shadow as well as Lieutenant Victor Einhart pitched in and picked out the costumes of the night, giving the honor to also newly appointed Deputy Chief of Police Phillipe Sanchez and Sergeant II Elizabeth Sanchez as the most festive, well-thought-out costume wearers! We would like to once again formally thank everyone for attending our party and to congratulate all event winners of the night.
Officer of the Month
-
-
Each month, one officer is selected by our Police Supervisors to receive this most prestigious award. This award is an overall congratulation for universal commitment, achievement, and excellence throughout the department. An officer who achieves this award is an exemplary member of the department who should be looked up to as an inspiration and role-model.
-
Police Officer III R. Marchisio first joined the department in June of last year, and from an early stage acquired an affinity for paperwork and optional duties. In the past month, he averaged 35 hours each week and maintained a very high paperwork count throughout the whole month, specifically he filed a total of 290 optional and 62 non-optional paperwork in the past 30 days.
In addition to being prolific in paperwork, Officer Marchisio is a well rounded officer, being a member of many divisions across four of the five Bureaus of the Department. Officer Marchisio contributed heavily to the Field Training Program in which he conducted seven Field Training Reports and four Field Training Sessions. Even more so, he was recently accepted into the Recruitment and Employment division, where he was offered a position not only on interview side but also on the instructing side. He is also a member of the Advanced Training Division, Firearms Licensing Division, and the Media Relations Division.
We are very proud of Officer Marchisio's accomplishments thus far and wish him well on his journey. He will be awarded with a salary increase for the duration of the month.

Featured Event

- Earlier this month, the Media Relations Division in conjunction with Deputy Chief of Police Jay Bacon organized and hosted a parade, in which many of the Department's divisions took part. The event was planned to celebrate the holiday season with LSPD Officers, to sponsor a positive relationship with the public and to allow divisions to showcase their vehicles and equipment.
The parade took place on the 12th of December, and was led by the Vinewood Traffic Division. It featured the Metropolitan Division and its specialized armored vehicles, as well as members of the Detective Bureau, and the Advanced Training Division brought our High Speed Interception units. Representatives from the Firearms Licensing, Recruitment & Employment, and Media Relations Divisions were also present to communicate with the public and answer questions, and the Air Support Division sent a helicopter to escort the convoy in the air.
The parade had a stop at the Del Perro Pier where participating officers connected with the public, talked about their divisions and equipment with citizens, and got photo opportunities. Overall, the parade was a great success, allowing officers to connect with the public and invigorating us with great excitement to the holiday season. It has been a great two weeks for us and we hope it has for you as well.
