    Monday:

Armed Robbery Foiled - Chumash General Store
At dawn around 0700, the Los Santos Police Department received information from the Los Santos County Sheriff’s Department that a store located within city jurisdiction was being robbed by 2 individuals, one of which was armed with a handgun. A David unit from the Metropolitan Division immediately responded. The store's only entrance was blocked by two cruisers, and weapons were drawn on the perpetrators. Due to the report of heavy weapons, responding units were armed with rifles. The individuals inside noticed they were clearly outnumbered, and made the smart decision of surrendering. They were placed in cuffs and disarmed, while the stolen money was returned. The suspects were then placed in the back of the cruiser for transport to Bolingbroke Penitentiary in order to serve time for their crimes. The resolution above was able to be accomplished due to teamwork and cooperation between the Los Santos Police Department and the Los Santos County Sheriff’s Department, as well as the quick mobilization of the new Metropolitan Division’s units.

Local Drug Dealer Caught in the Act - Mission Row
At midnight around 2300, a unit from the Los Santos Police Department received reports of a supposed drug dealer offering narcotics in the Mission Row area. The unit quickly investigated the surrounding area and noticed an individual making a scene by the sidewalk. The individual was approached, and announced that they were selling marijuana for a price. The individual was detained and questioned, while a further investigation was conducted. Initially uncooperative, the individual was found with over 8 grams of marijuana. Their accomplice, noticing that their friend had been arrested, ran away from the unit, causing a foot pursuit, and unfortunately getting away.

Hours later, a unit from the Traffic Enforcement Division noticed a vehicle speeding through the city. A traffic stop was attempted on the vehicle, but the driver failed to stop. A pursuit was called, resulting in the driver quickly being apprehended. The driver was identified as the individual who had evaded earlier during the drug bust, and was promptly arrested for those crimes. The suspect is due to serve time at Bolingbroke Penitentiary for narcotics as well as evasion charges.

    Tuesday:

Large Shootout following Negotiations - Grapeseed
At 1100, a unit from the Los Santos Police Department responded to a 911 call regarding a shooting on Senora Freeway. Upon arrival, the unit noticed individuals armed with automatic sub-machine guns and stood back as they called for backup. The vehicles were followed to Grapeseed where they barricaded the basement of an abandoned farmhouse. The units on scene immediately set up a perimeter around the farmhouse, and called for the Los Santos County Sheriff’s Department for assistance. The scene commander attempted to negotiate a peaceful resolution with the individuals inside the basement, knowing they were heavily armed and had barricaded themselves within the room. Such negotiations led to the deployment of a Kamacho vehicle as a demand from the individuals, who claimed they had a hostage, who was later identified as an accomplice to the suspects.

The individuals stated that they would not leave without a fight, and as such a tactical plan was devised between the Metropolitan Division and the LSSD Special Enforcement Detail. With 2 specially equipped David unitsand several Delta units, a smoke grenade was cast inside the basement in order to blur the hostile party’s vision as well as incapacitate them. The staircase was breached and shots were fired at operatives, who returned fire. 6 suspects and 4 operatives were injured in the gunfight. Tragically, 2 operatives, as well as 2 suspects, succumbed to their injuries, while the remaining 2 operatives and 4 suspects successfully treated and recovering from their injuries. The surviving suspects have been charged for several serious felonies and are serving many years at Bolingbroke Penitentiary. We are saddened by the deaths in the line of duty and our deepest condolences go to the families left behind by those heroic operatives.

Misdemeanor Arrest Turned Pursuit - Vinewood Hills
At 2030, a traffic stop was conducted on a beige Exemplar near Vinewood Lake. The vehicle stopped, and the driver was identified as a match for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. During the traffic stop, the driver took off, and a pursuit was initiated. The driver led patrol units around the city, going through county lines and back into the city - leaping from lane to lane on the Del Perro Freeway. The suspect eventually came to their senses, driving into the Del Perro Pier where they brought their vehicle to a complete stop and surrendered to pursuing officers. The driver now faces several felony charges in addition to the initial misdemeanor charge. The reason why the suspect evaded remains unknown as they were not found in possession of anything illegal before, during or after the arrest and pursuit. Fortunately, no injuries or damage to public or private property occurred during the pursuit.

    Wednesday:

Attempted Murder - Los Santos Bank
Past midnight at roughly 0100, the Los Santos Police Department received an emergency 911 call from the Los Santos Bank stating that a shooting had occurred. Upon arrival of several units, there was found to be an injured individual on the road suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The Los Santos Emergency Medical Services was immediately contacted, and a unit arrived shortly to provide advanced medical treatment after first aid was applied by the officers on-scene. Officers took the witness' statement, as well as that of several eye-witnesses to the incident. Additionally, several crucial pieces of evidence were recovered as well as forensic evidence. The collected information and evidence has been forwarded to the Investigations Bureau and an investigation is underway to apprehend the culprit of the shooting. The victim is currently recovering from their injuries and is stable.

Heavy Vehicle Pursuit - Los Santos Freeway
At around 1900, a unit from the Traffic Enforcement Division noticed a Phantom semi-truck driving recklessly throughout the city. They were quickly done a traffic stop on briefly after they entered the Los Santos Freeway using the oncoming lane on-ramp. During the traffic stop, they were found to not be in possession of a valid Truckers License, which is mandatory in order to be able to operate a large vehicle such as a Phantom semi-truck on public roads. When their vehicle was attempted to be impounded, the driver stepped inside the vehicle and began evading. A pursuit was engaged, and they followed the vehicle towards Sandy Shores. In the meantime, a unit diverted to the Vinewood Precinct in order to deploy a Heavy Interceptor Unit, a vehicle specifically made to tackle such situations. While the Air Support Division’s airship maintained visual of the evading truck, their route was cut off by the Heavy Interceptor Unit, and the evading truck attempted to ram into the unit, which resulted in them crashing their vehicle. The driver then ran away on foot, but was quickly apprehended by the units on scene. We remind citizens to ensure that they possess the necessary licensing in order to operate their vehicle of choice, and to always be mindful of other drivers when operating them.

    Thursday:

Off-Road Vehicle Chase - Elgin Avenue
A quiet Thursday morning was interrupted by a vehicle disturbance on Elgin Avenue. A black Bifta registered to an individual known for their reckless vehicle behavior was stopped for unsafe driving. The unit conducting the traffic stop alerted for backup prior to attempting to make contact with the driver, who sped off. Several patrol units, as well as a motorcycle unit, became involved in the pursuit. The Bifta occupied with two people who were unknown to authorities at the time drove into county boundaries before taking units back into the city via the Great Ocean Highway. Several attempts to stop the vehicle were made but none were successful at the time. Upon merging onto the correct lane from the incorrect lane of the highway the vehicle was brought to a forceful stop by a patrol unit, stalling the engine of the vehicle and ultimately stopping the chase. The passenger was not considered to be involved in any crimes and was released, while the driver faces several felony and misdemeanor charges. The driver sustained minor injuries but was tended to by officers until the Los Santos Emergency Medical Services could arrive. No damage to public or private property occurred during the chase, and no civilians were harmed.

At approximately 1811, gunshots were heard from the parking garage at San Andreas Avenue. Fortunately, nearby officers were able to respond quickly ion strong numbers. Upon further inspection of the scene it appeared to be a gang-related shootout. Following the quick response of various units of the Los Santos Police Department a total of five suspects were apprehended. An investigation led to several suspects being arrested and sent to Bolingbroke Penitentiary for lengthy sentences, varying in degrees. Fortunately, no civilians were hurt in any way. One officer was shot but is recovering from their wounds.

    Saturday:

Traffic Checkpoint - Del Perro Pier
Around 1930, a small-scale checkpoint was set up by Traffic Enforcement Division officers with the assistance of general patrol units on the Del Perro Pier. A checkpoint aims to crack down on people driving under the influence, driving with a revoked/suspended license, as well as stolen vehicle recovery, and is a proven and reliable way to apprehend fugitives. The operation found no drivers under the influence, no other violations occurred during the operation, a wanted suspect was apprehended, and a stolen vehicle was also retrieved and returned to its rightful owner. In light of the Del Perro Pier parking petition changes, an increase in visitors is evident, and some expressed their gratitude for the operation and continued work of the Los Santos Police Department.
