Did you know that the Los Santos Police Department has its own Lifeinvader page?

The aim of the LSPD Lifeinvader page is to show the public what it is we do, as well as to spread vital information and updates. It is a community relations effort, and yet another mode of transparency about our work and our goal to Protect & Serve. The LSPD page is updated frequently with instructions and guides, information about events and processes, and insights into the daily work of a Police Officer.

We encourage you to stay updated on the LSPD Lifeinvader page for information about new policies and to show support for your colleagues. With the release of the Lifeinvader app, you can easily access it right from your phone. By upvoting and sharing posts with your friends, you help spread important information and updates with Officers and the public alike, such as changes to firearms licensing procedures and avoiding fraud. With that said, Officers obviously should not be browsing Lifeinvader while on the clock; we expect you, as always, to be attentive and on your marks when you are out in the field!

If you want one of your own posts to be featured on the LSPD page, just tag it #LSPD and we will review the post. Officers, please remember to always follow the regulations and expectations about professionalism when posting. If, during your shift, you encounter a situation you want to share, feel free to take a picture and share it with Media Relations Command, providing a short summary of the situation.

OFFICER OF THE MONTH, July 2020

    -
Each month, ONE officer is selected by our Police Supervisors to receive this most prestigious award. This award is an overall congratulation for universal commitment, achievement, and excellence throughout the department. An officer who achieves this award is an exemplary member of the department and someone who should be looked up to as an inspiration and role-model.

July marks the first month in the history of the Los Santos Police Department where the Officer of the Month vote came to a draw. For this reason, we will be honoring the contributions of both Police Officer III Dante Raven and Police Officer III Matthew Layton. Officer Raven has put in a great amount of paperwork, with consistent hours throughout the month. He has also contributed greatly to Field Training, completing 16 patrols with Cadets this month. Officer Layton puts tremendous effort into his exemplary reports. He is also proactive within Field Training.

  • Police Officer III Dante Raven first joined the Los Santos' finest on the fourth of April, 2020. His journey started like most others', with the rank of Police Cadet. In the following months, he passed the field training program, and then joined the Rockford Precinct, where he conducted himself with excellence and showcased great consistency in his performance within the Field Training Program, completing at least one session every week. In the month of July, the Command Team saw fit to reward his service with a promotion to Police Officer III.

Officer Raven recently rejoined the highly prestigious and sought after division of Special Weapons and Tactics, where he holds the rank of Junior Operative, but he does not let his work with that division occupy all of his time. During the last month, he filled a total of fifteen duty reports and twelve impound reports. This is in addition to his duties with the Air Support Division, where he also regularly completes flight logs.

  • Police Officer III Matthew Layton transferred to the Los Santos Police Department from the Los Santos County Sheriff’s Department on the 10th of June, 2020. He was given the rank of Police Officer II. Since then, he has had some great months, with impressive hours and solid numbers of filed reports. He makes sure to do his job well, and avoids rushing, which is evident by his paperwork. At the end of the month, the hard work paid off with a promotion to Police Officer III.

Officer Layton joined the Department with ambitions of becoming a Detective one day. He now stands at a crossroads in his career, and will have to make the decision of whether he is ready, and still wishes, to apply to join the Investigations Bureau, or if he would rather stay as a field officer or work towards applying for the Supervisor Training Program. We wish him luck with his future and in making this important decision.

  • Police Officers Raven and Layton will be awarded with a salary increase for the duration of August.
