PRESS RELEASE: Recent Speed Limit Changes

Post by LSPD Media Relations »

Following the recent press release from City Hall on 15th February 2020, regarding changes to the speed limits across San Andreas, the Los Santos Police Department would like to reiterate a safety message in addition to this.

We would like to take the opportunity to remind all Citizens that although the speed limit has increased, it is still expected to drive to suit the conditions. Just because the limit is increased, it does not mean you are obliged to drive at that speed, especially if conditions are not favorable. For example, remember that it takes longer to stop a vehicle when it is raining. We recommend that drivers drive to suit the conditions!

We have included a quote from Sergeant Jeys, the Commanding Officer of our Traffic Enforcement Division:-
"As the City Hall listened to your requests and pushed the speed limit, we would like you to listen to us and stick to this limit; speeds higher than these will lead to accidents and injuries that we all wish to avoid.

Speeding won't be good for you in any way; you put your life and other drivers in danger. For that, the LSPD Traffic Enforcement Division will be cracking down on speeders to minimize the breaches of the speed limit. We care about you, and your and others safety. Please comply, and if your safety doesn't matter to you, please reach out to get help before it's late. You Matter to us!"
