The Los Santos Police Department Police Officers Save Christmas, the release was prepared by Police Officer III Grace Hunter.

During the month of December, with the festivities and planning for the holidays, we can get side tracked and forget about the cities less fortunate and what/how they are doing. This month two brothers found themselves in the worst situation you can be in at Christmas.

Brothers John and Joe Smith (names have been changed to protect their identity and privacy), had been out hunting in the wonderful woods of the North. They were scouring the area for wildlife that they could hunt and produce for the family to eat this Christmas. After some long hunting hours and hard work in the winter conditions they managed to track down some animals and fill an entire bag with meat for their family. It was looking like it would be a happy and plentiful time for the family this year.

On the way home after hunting with his brother, John Smith realized he had driven a little too fast in the excitement of the successful activities and managed to rack himself a reckless operation misdemeanor. He swiftly made his way to the Los Santos Police Departments mission row prescient to turn himself in so that he could continue home with his brother to surprise the family and enjoy Christmas and the New Year peacefully.

He was detained and searched by one of our fine officers. He unfortunately still had the bag of meat with him as he was planning to go straight to the butchers on his way home. The officer understood that this bag was very important to him, although he wasn't aware of what was In the bag, so made the promise to keep it safe and store it In the evidence room.

Once Mr Smith had served his time in jail for the reckless operation he sought out the officer that processed him to get his bag returned.it was only then that the officer realized what was about to unfold. Mr Smith was heartbroken to discover that due to lack of facilitation for meat preservation in our evidence storage it had all rotted and what remained was a stench of inedible remains in the bag.

Obviously the Smith brothers were heartbroken. Their plans to provide their family with a happy and harmonious Christmas dinner and celebration had just decayed in front of them. The officer, noticing how upset and angry the brothers were, felt such empathy for them and contacted our wise Captain Lewis Langley to see how to proceed.

Captain Langley spoke with the officer and the two brothers and once informed what happened, decided to help. Captain Langley took John Smith with him to an ATM and handed over a substantial amount of cash, more than he would have received for all the meat. After our own celebrations recently it was important to Captain Langley to see the citizens of Los Santos happy and prosperous too. The Smith brothers gratefully accepted the cash compensation and headed excitedly off on their way home to celebrate Christmas with their loved ones.

Los Santos Police Department would like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday. Remember to look out for each other this holiday season and if you can help someone less fortunate, try too. Compassion and kindness are the best gift a person can receive this cold and snowy season.
