Press Release: Penal Code Amendment

Citizens of Los Santos

  • The Los Santos Police Department, on behalf of Los Santos Government, is issuing this news bulletin to make all citizens aware of 3 new Penal codes being added to the state laws.

    The new penal codes are being put in place to reduce the tampering of deceased bodies, the introduction of these felony and misdemeanor charges are being implemented immediately. Please review said updates to have a complete understanding of the updated penal code.
    Please review and understand the new laws posted below.
GF20 - Abuse or Desecration of Dead Human Body

"Dead human body" includes any part of a human body in any stage of decomposition.
A person is guilty of abuse or desecration of a dead human body if the person intentionally and unlawfully:

(a) fails to report the finding of a dead human body to a local law enforcement agency;
(b) disturbs, moves, removes, conceals, or destroys a dead human body or any part of it;
(c) (1) disinters a buried or otherwise interred dead human body, without authority of a government order.;
(c) (2) Interring a dead human body without the qualification of gravedigging and a death certificate copy.
(d) dismembers a dead human body to any extent, or damages or detaches any part or portion of a dead human body
(e) perform any form of practice with a dead human body without being a licensed medical practitioner.

(a) Failure to report the finding of a dead human body as required under Subsection (a) is a MISDEMEANOR.
(b) Abuse or desecration of a dead human body as described in Subsections (b) through (e) is a FELONY

GF21 - Possession of Human Body Tissue

"Human body tissue" makes up organs and other body parts.

it is illegal to be in possession of any human tissue unless authorized by a government institution licensed to manage, storing and/or using human tissue.

GM-19 Failure to Report the finding of a Dead Human Body
Spoiler
A person who finds a dead human body is obliged to report the finding of a dead human body to a local law enforcement agency. Failure to do so may hold them accountable to this misdemeanor criminal charge.
