Chief of Police Samuel Osborn
“It is the mission of the Los Santos Police Department to safeguard the lives and property of the people we serve, to reduce the incidence and fear of crime and to enhance public safety. The fine men and women of the Los Santos Police Department goes through extensive training and is held to the highest standards of law enforcement which has consecutively increased our success rate in the field.

It’s important to the fundamentals of the Los Santos Police Department that the public trusts us, and it’s important that the general public is vigilant and takes the extra step to report suspicious activity to the Police Department. Without the bond between the general public and the Los Santos Police Department, we would not function as we do today.”

Statement from Commander Lewis Langley, Professional Standards Bureau:

“The High Crime Rate of Los Santos I believe is due to the influx of criminal organisations coming into the city. I believe if more citizens look out and love their neighbors, be vigilant and report crimes as they’re happening we will have a greater chance of catching the criminals in the act. We’re also in the process of hiring more officers to achieve a greater police presence on the streets so this will also assist in the reduction of crime in the long-run.

We’re currently handling Internal Affairs reports as they come in with a strong team of six personnel. We have made lots of progress and introduced internal policies to ensure that the internal affairs reports are dealt with in a timely manner whilst maintaining the highest level of accuracy."

Los Santos has always been a city prone to violence. We have always done our best to keep the crime rate as low as possible. Despite our high success rate in busting criminals all over the city, it seems for every criminal apprehended, another two or three surface. There is disagreement not only about the reasons for the increase in crime, but also about how law enforcement should respond publicly to this increasing rate.

We are currently setting out to hire at least an additional 30 Police Officers among our ranks. In doing this, Police Command with the assistance of the Office of Support Services, Police Training Bureau wish to raise police presence in general as well as bettering the time it takes officers to respond to calls. Hiring more officers give the department the ability to expand it's patrols and cover more of the city at one given time.

The Office of Special Operations, Traffic Enforcement Division have also made it very clear that they will continue to uphold their standards of a zero tolerance policy against traffic offenders. The number of reported traffic incidents, crimes, and deaths, have notedly been increasing at a dangerous rate. Traffic Officers are very aware of this and will not tolerate any violations to traffic offenses.
