We would like to begin with congratulating and thanking our Media Relations Division for making it possible to release our very first Monthly Bulletin, as well as any other officers involved in the process.

It's been another busy month for the Police Department, our Recruitment & Employment and Basic Training Divisions were in full grind for most of November, with academy courses in full swing, reaching a total of 19 new Cadets for the month of November. Our Divisions & Bureaus continue to strive towards further success and improvements. New Commanding Officers for both the Air Support Division and Special Weapons and Tactics Team will be announced later this month.

Additionally, Commander Alex Donnelly has been brought into High Command, where he accommodates the position for West Area Coordinator. Furthermore, The following Sergeants were inducted into the Command Staff team after carefully reviewing their work ethics, experience, and positions where they have shown leadership time and again. Congratulations to Lieutenant Matt Trustson and Lieutenant Liam Paige.

As we step forward into December, the Media Relations Division is working behind the scenes to crank out events for the community for the next few months. Stick close by and keep an eye out, these are events you won't want to miss. Our Media Relations Division recently announced a Job Fair scheduled for December 16 which will be held in liaison with Los Santos Emergency Services. We hope to see as many of you there.

Helene Dubois, originally Helene Charbonneau, grew up in Quebec, Canada, and moved to a neighboring province to complete a law degree after realizing her fascination for justice and all things legal. Though she originally aspired to become a lawyer, she decided to travel to Los Santos following the conclusion of a family crisis and applied for the Los Santos Police Department's ride-along program. After being impressed by what she saw, she joined the LSPD and later became a Field Training Officer, and then joined both the Recruitment Division and the Basic Training Division. Her passion for training and educating drives her to be involved in the progression of cadets and she now hopes to contribute to and promote a sense of solidarity within the Department however way she can.

Officer Dubois was recruited into Mission Row Precinct on October 6th, she has since worked with the Recruitment division joining early on in her career and becoming a good asset to the division. If there's a cadet standing around, she will find them and take them on patrol, she is adamant on training our cadets to a great level. She takes them under her wing and guides their development, and even after completing their training she continues to work with them to continue their development. We look forward to seeing her continue her development, and guide our officers more. Officer Dubois has completed an excess of 200 reports since her enrollment in LSPD, going above and beyond her duty, and further expressing her care and effort that she puts into our Police Department.

Officer Dubois is definitely one of the finest officers that the LSPD has to offer. She is one of the biggest reasons that the LSPD continues to have the finest cadets and the best training provided for them. She makes people smile and motivates her brothers and sisters in blue to work hard and fulfill their duties. Therefore, Media Relations have decided to feature her in our November Bulletin.

  • We have made great strides in our departmental divisions, welcomed some new faces, and said farewells to some old ones. Please read below about some divisional updates from the COs and ACOs themselves, and what progress they have made in the month of November.
    S.W.A.T. Division November Update
    Image
    Hello Operatives!
Welcome to the second update of the Special Weapons and Tactics Division, where we would like to introduce you all to the updates within the division for the month of October, and what is going to happen in the month of November. We are looking to continue making these each month to let you all know what is happening within the division and any planned upcoming changes to the division. We hope this will help to include you all more, and inform you relevant changes, so you can all come forward with suggestions and things that you all would like to see change within S.W.A.T.

    Roster changes
We recently opened recruitment once again, in an aim to bring in more talented operatives at a time when the city of Los Santos is more dangerous than ever. We had many applications, but it is with great honour that we welcome the most capable of applicants listed below!
    • Cynthia Shelby
    • Blaise Metzelder
    • Logan Cross
    • Elijah Reid

The following promotions have also happened within the month of September. Congratulations to all those who have been promoted, we hope you will continue the good work which earned you this promotion! To those of you who have not been promoted, ensure that you are regularly attending training sessions, filling out deployment logs, and helping to improve the skills and attributes of both yourself and your fellow Operatives.
    • Enzo Bozzuto | Trial Senior Operative -> Senior Operative
    • Matt Truston | Operative -> Trial Senior Operative
    • Daniels Shelby | Operative -> Trial Senior Operative
    • Nicholas Harm | Probationary Operative -> Operative
    • Josh Paige | Probationary Operative -> Operative
    • Santino Defferro | Probationary Operative -> Operative
    • Harry Davis | Probationary Operative -> Operative
    • Paulo Witherfork | Probationary Operative -> Operative
    • Cynthia Shelby | Probationary Operative -> Operative

    Division Changes

    Division Information

One thing which has been significantly lacking within S.W.A.T. recently, is the filling out of Deployment Logs. It is mandatory for ALL S.W.A.T. Operatives to fill out a deployment log whenever they deploy, and in recent times this clearly has not been happening, nor has it been strictly enforced. Over the next month we will be making a concentrated effort to crack down on operatives deploying and not making a deployment log, so please ensure that starting now, every deployment has a log filled out shortly after. Good work to those of you who have been submitting them, but its disappointing that not everyone does.

As I am sure you have all noticed, we have placed a lot more emphasis on Discipline for SWAT Operatives lately. This goes both for the training's, and when on deployment. We have come a long way, but unfortunately there are still some individuals who do not seem to take SWAT seriously enough. Going forward, we will be having a zero tolerance policy for ANY messing around during training or deployment. You are S.W.A.T. The elite of the elite. We expect you to act like it at all times.

We will no longer be allowing any S.W.A.T. Operatives to use the HSIU or HSMU whilst they are on Active Deployment. If you need to take out one of the high speed vehicles, you must return to your regular uniform and callsign first. We would also like to request that use of the Insurgent be toned down to the absolute minimum, I.E only when up against heavier vehicles and off-road vehicles, and not as your go to Active Deployment Vehicle.

The last major topic I want to mention during this update, is a change to the way we have been approaching Warrant hunting. Going after Warrants is a necessary and often enjoyable activity for S.W.A.T. Operatives, but we need to ensure that we are considering the safety of our Operatives and the general public when we are doing so. We should always be approaching these wanted criminals in a situation which gives S.W.A.T. the best chance of success without any casualties, which means approaching them when they are alone, and we out number them. We DO NOT go to parties, or large organised events to collect warrants, nor do we patrol through these often hostile events. Any presence there should be only to observe from the outskirts, and to react and intervene in the most life and death situations. We DO NOT attempt to arrest people there and potentially provoke a violent reaction. If you see someone commit a minor crime at one of these events, then you are to get their name, and place charges so they can be picked up later.

Anyone who has looked at the Roster recently, will notice we have decided to change the formatting of our teams. We will no longer have Jaeger, Whisky and Ranger squad, we now just have Squads one - Three. ((This change was a decision made by High command to improve the realism of SWAT)). This shouldn't have a huge impact on you, the only relevant change is that from now on, EVERY deployment, whether Active, Passive or Patrol will wear the 'S.W.A.T.' Badge.

On a last note, thank you all for reading this update for the Special Weapons and Tactics Division for November 2018. Good job to all those who have regularly attended training and used the skills they have learnt to overcome dangerous situations in the field. Lastly, to all new members within the division, Welcome to the team!

    Air Support Division November Update
    Image
    Hello Pilots!
Welcome to the third update of the Air Support Division where we would like to introduce you all to the updates within the division for the month of November. We are looking to get these made for each month to let you all know what is happening within the division, and any upcoming changes to the division. We hope this will help to include you all more, and inform you of changes prior to them happening, so you can all come forward with suggestions of things that you all would like to see change within the Air Support Division.

    Roster changes

    • Hugo Olsson
    • Lennie Price
    • James Dalton

The following promotions have also happened within the month of November. • Cynthia Shelby | Pilot -> Chief Pilot

    • James Sardinsky | Junior Pilot -> Pilot
    • Charlie Williams | Junior Pilot -> Pilot

    Division Changes

    Division Information

We will be looking to revamp the Tactical Pilot Program in the near future to enable members of ASD to better assist the LSPD and the people of Los Santos. In particular, this will be beneficial for Pilots who are interested in helping out with S.W.A.T. Operations. We will keep you updated once more information is available.

On a last note, thank you all for reading this update for the Air Support Division for December 2018. Good job on the flight hours for the month of November, and we hope to see a better increase for December. Welcome to the team, all new members within the division!

    Field Training Program November Update
    Image
    Dear Field Training Officers,

Within the month of November we have seen a lot of new faces join us both as Field Training Officers and as Cadets. We have also sene some changes within the Field Training Program itself and we will be continuing the changes throughout the month of December.

    Image
This month we have seen 12 new Field Training Officers join us since we opened up the Field Training Program to Police Officer II's and without further ado I'd like to welcome:
    • Xoza Shadow
    • Klaus Austin
    • Lukas Montana
    • Thomas Bennet
    • Miles Metzelder
    • David Garcia
    • Lennie Price
    • Julio Santos
    • Blaise Metzelder
    • Kit Livingstone
    • Helene Dubois
    • Pierce Hardy
With the amount of Field Training Officers we have now I ask you all that you remain courteous to your fellow FTOs and allow them to have a turn at training Cadets. I understand some of you would love to do every FTP you could get, but FTP Command does note your enthusiasm even when we tell you to slow down and it's commendable.

    Image
In the month of November there were 93 Field Training Program sessions conducted & loggedd and 33 new Cadets inducted into the Field Training Program. We'd like to congratulate the following Cadets on passing the Field Training Program and reaching Police Officer I this month:
    • Amelia Adams
    • Edward Sharp
    • Marshall Carwyn
    • Caz Murphy
    • George Vern
    • Nigel Dickons
    • Miles Townsend
    • Thomas Foster
    • Jonathan Norton
    • Adam Nesbitt
    • Walter Barth
    • Valentino Wesson
    • Geralt Harlok
    • Phillipe Sanchez
    • Ryan Torres
    • Hugo Romano
    Image
Within the program, we have announced FTO ADAM Patrols. These do not count towards the FTOs total for sessions, however it does allow us to see your enthusiasm especially for those unable to find sessions to conduct. They are found on the bottom of the cadet profile, allowing you to place them on the cadet's record. This also allows FTOs who will conduct their sessions to see what they've learnt and things they struggle with.

    Image
In the month of November, we would like to congratulate officer James Sardinsky as the FTO of the month. Officer Sardinsky has impressed FTP Command immensely, and we would like to thank him for the excellent work he has put in to the program. As a reward for his excellent work, Officer Sardinsky shall receive a $25,000 bonus.
