    Monday:

    Felony Stop - Dutch London Street
    Following several reports of vehicular theft in the Rancho area in East Los Santos, a felony stop was initiated at around 1900on a commercial garbage truck. The truck was reported stolen from the garbage yard in El Burro Heights after a heated exchange between two individuals. The truck was initially tracked down and spotted by Detective Bureau units outside of the Jamestown housing projects. Additional units were called and an appropriate response was assured. Five units participated in the felony stop to safely and slowly apprehend the suspect who was believed to be wielding a cold weapon; a large blade, along with a firearm. The suspect was secured during the felony stop and the vehicle was returned to its rightful owner. No damage occurred and the vehicle was capturedwithin 10 minutes of it being reported stolen.


    Tuesday:

    Armed Robbery - Barbareno Road
    A silent alarm was triggered at around 1100 in the general area of Chumash. Units responded to the scene of the crime and attempted to establish visual contact. The unit on scene was shot which resulted in the Detective sustaining severe gunshot injuries to his lower abdomen. Response was stepped up and arriving units tended to the injured Detective, cleared out the store and secured the scene. Three suspects were apprehended, two of which were gunmen involved in the attempted murder of the Detective. The Los Santos Sheriff's Department assisted with all available units and provided additional units for scene sanitation. The Detective made a full recovery while the two gunmen who were injured in an exchange of fire and taken to Zonah Medical Center for recovery. They have since been taken to the Department of Corrections. All three suspects received several felony charges and face sentences without parole. The money stolen from the store robbery was retrieved and all of the $10,500 was returned.


    Wednesday:

    Felony Public Endangerment - Prosperity Street
    A pursuit was initiated at around 1700 in the vicinity of San Andreas Avenue following an attempted traffic stop of a black sports car. The vehicle in mind was driven in an erratic manner, severely endangering the public. The vehicle failed to yield after being instructed multiple times to stop, after which a pursuit was called and additional units responded. It was confirmed the vehicle was occupied by two individuals, gang affiliated and possibly armed. The situation was approached with the utmost of caution by leading supervisors. The pursuit came to an end on Prosperity Street after the vehicle was intercepted by traffic units, successfully and safely managing to bring the vehicle to a stop. One of the suspects attempted to run on foot but to no avail. Both of the suspects were detained and secured in a matter of minutes. Both suspects were armed, as presumed, with illegal weapons. No damages occurred during the pursuit and nobody was injured.


    Saturday:

    Violent Gang Open-Fires on Pursuit
    At around 0930, a unit from the Gang and Narcotics Division attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle displaying suspicious behavior. The unit's suspicion was immediately confirmed after the vehicle suddenly started evading from the seemingly normal stop. A pursuit was engaged, and several other vehicles joined the pursuit bearing similar colors. This immediately raised red flags, and not long after, the vehicles started opening fire on officers. The Los Santos County Sheriff's Department was called in to assist in the pursuit after the vehicles started fleeing north towards the county. Shortly after crossing Paleto Bay, a unit returned fire at the vehicle and disabled it, resulting in the vehicle crashing. A suspect ran outside with a sub-machine gun and shot at an officer, but were met with equal force and neutralized. The rest of them were rounded up and arrested, after making a futile attempt to flee on foot. Medical attention was provided, and the San Andreas Department of Corrections was called to assist in a transport. The suspects were successfully brought to Bolingbroke Penitentiary.

    Large-scale Jewelry Store Robbery
    Late in the evening evening, over 5 individuals armed with heavy weapons invaded the Jewelry Store near Rockford Plaza, taking several individuals hostage as both LSPD Officers and LSSD Deputies responded to an urgent distress call from a Detective. Both LSPD and LSSD established a 1 block perimeter around Rockford Plaza while taking heavy fire from unknown assailants surrounding the Plaza. Officers were able to secure the area while LSPD SWAT attempted to negotiate with the armed individuals inside the store.

    The suspects inside demanded vehicles to escape from the area, and a clean way out, both of which were provided in order to rescue the hostages. Both the LSPD and LSSD deployed air units to track all of the vehicles utilized by the suspects to escape. Once it was confirmed that all hostages were accounted for, units initiated vehicle pursuits to apprehend the suspects. The LSPD would like to thank the Sheriff's Department for their assistance with apprehending the suspects without injury to the hostages.

    Battery of a Law Enforcement Officer
    Just past midday Sunday, a unit performed a stop on a vehicle impeding traffic. Planning to perform a misdemeanor arrest, the unit called for backup prior to making contact with the driver. While the officer was attempting to arrest them, the driver began resisting and threw punches at the officer, who fought back but was overwhelmed. Backup units stepped up the backup call and immediately tended to the officer while an air unit quickly gained visual on the now fleeing driver. A pursuit entailed, weaving through town for upwards of half an hour before the suspect slipped up and was apprehended. The driver was arrested for aggravated battery and the officer recovered with no life threatening injuries.
