Each month, ONE officer is selected by Command to receive this most prestigious award. This award is an overall congratulation for universal commitment, achievement, and excellence throughout the department. An officer who achieves the 'Officer of the Month' award is an exemplary member of the department and someone who should be looked up to as an inspiration and role-model.

This month, we would like to congratulate Marcus Brighi on becoming the Officer of the Month for June 2018. Officer Brighi graduated from our Police Academy on May 21st, 2018 and graduated from our Field Training Program on June 3rd, 2018. Officer Brighi currently serves as a Patrol Officer for Rampart Precinct, as well as a Trial Operative for our Special Weapons and Tactics team.

We would like to recognize Officer Brighi's tremendous amount of effort into official duties. Throughout the month of June, Officer Brighi has logged over 100 duty hours, and at the same time, filled in optional paperwork such as duty reports and arrest reports. Officer Brighi is an exceptional officer that goes above and beyond to fulfill his duties and responsibilities with precision.

We would also like to wish Officer Brighi good luck with his trial period in the Special Weapons and Tactics team.

Officer Brighi will be rewarded with a bonus payment of $1,000.00 (( $100,000.00 )).

Do you want to become the next Officer of the Month?

Everyone below the rank of the Sergeant I can qualify to become the Officer of the Month. Multiple factors will decide if you qualify for the award.-- In general, we look for officers that go above and beyond in their assigned duties, take responsibility and take charge of your duties, show initiative and demonstrate extraordinary performance. Those are some of the key factors that we look for if you can accomplish that, perhaps you can become the next Officer of the Month.

Regards,
